The problem was Masters only had his body going for him, and not just in WWE, any other company he works for has to be aware of this too.
It might be a little his fault because if had been great in the ring (the only good and memorable match he ever had was with HBK) then they could have focused on his in ring skills and taken attention away from his shrinking figure. But since he was average at best (and lets not forget he couldn't even sell properly), he basically lost the one thing that made him worthwhile in WWE's eyes.

He probably would've violated it again anyways down the line, I think. That's still unfair to release him if they think they forsee him violating it again. Kinda ruins the purpose of 3 strikes if they just fire him on the 2nd strike. I agree. That does appear unfair. I'm thinking that he must've acted very unprofessionally upon recieving the news, or he did something else completely unrelated that got him fired. But if he did not do anything more than what got him the 60 day suspension, then that's just plain wrong.

Looks like the name me and mysterydriver made up for him in TNA will be needed:Chris Keylock With The Key Lock Challenge. Doc: "You're not gonna believe this, kids: In the future, Chris Masters gets released from the WWE!!!" Marty: "Um, I actually kinda figured that would happen." Jennifer: "Yeah, me too..." Hilarious. "Doc Brown states the obvious" needs to be a meme. To Help this fad get started... Doc:You're not gonna believe this, kids: In the future, RVD Loves The Chronic!!!!!!! Marty:Um, I actually kinda figured that would happen. Jennifer:Yeah, me too

Hey, atleast TNA dont't drug test Masters. And thus, he'll be back to 1991 Lex Luger status in a month or two. Thus, TNA World Champ by Christmas

I saw this coming and he brought it on himself. He violates the Wellness Policy twice and then pisses off Undertaker. Pissing off Undertaker should be means for getting fired anyway imo. Pissing off Undertaker??? When did it happened??? El Cernex

Methinks there were several factors leading up to this: Primarily, he is the obvious fall guy to demonstrate how the E are "doing something about the steriods issue". That said, Chris Masters may have been set up for this day all along. He was made to look weak when the Masterlock was first broken by Sgt. Jose Aviles of our esteemed U.S. Armed Forces. An everyman finally breaks the dreaded Masterlock after so many could not? HEH? Then, the poor sap somehow ran afoul of Our Man H and was mocked live on national television. That didn't help his cause any. My guess is he not only failed wellness, but also failed to make the right friends in the business... The final nail in the coffin (if you'll pardon the pun), was when Masters alledgedly no-sold the Undertaker, well... who in their right mind would do that? I mean, he's right up there with H in the list of influential people in the E workplace. I liked his goofy facial expressions whenever an it appeared likely that an opponent might break his full-nelson, LOL. Chris had the tools but he was a victim of the times; he was the witch to be burned at the stake, the sacrificial lamb if you will. So, Chris, go to Japan or Puerto Rico and return someday with the killer instinct and experience that will guide you in your second WWE tour. You'll be the better wrestler for it. The Sgt. didn't really break the hold as JBL knocked Masters into the middle of next week causing Masters to release the hold.

Well,I said it from his debut,I TRULY and REALLY thought the guy was going somehwere. His matches with HBK and participation in matches like Survivor Series 2005,Elimination Chamber and his tag match against Big Show and Kane at WrestleMania 22 were awesome.I could so easily have seen him actually bringing a lot of credibilty back to the Intercontinental title too (yes Im serious),as I imagined him as one of those cocky but proud champs like Randy Orton was,and wearing the title round his waist with his entrance alone would have made the title and himself look important.I was always a fan of his work to be honest,I think he got a lot of undeserved flack about his in ring abilities and matches at times, and in a nutshell,Im going to miss him.Hope he returns soon.

I guess he's glad that no one took 1000 dollars OF HIS OWN MONEY during the masterlock challenge.

Note to Chris: take some of that money you've earned and go back to school.

Now he could go work with Shane Douglas in Target and make customers do the Masterlock Challenge. If they break it, they get a free trolley dash.

Give give some other guy the same entrance, no one would notice.

I'm not going to read the thread. Just post my thoughts:
Masters didn't have to be a main eventer. He could have easily have been the Warlord or Hercules of this generation.
He worked very well in his team with Carlito and I wish he could have kept his subscriptions renewed and his mind away from the "Big is best" mindset. Kenny and he could have been the new Power & Glory in my opinion.
His improvement from debut to today was astounding and when he stayed away from the "muscles in a syringe" and just kept naturally big he could've have a very nice career.
In the end, his own decisions cost him. Yes, he was harassed by people like Triple H on air (which caused me to lose some respect for Trips) but, in the end, instead of working and earning his spot, he took the shortcuts that ended up cutting his job tenure short. (Yes. That was a pun.)
