It was a Raw card with Rey Mysterio as a special addition, since the event was in his hometown. The last time he appeared there was when he had just had surgery and Vince McMahon had Umaga beat him up as part of the build towards a Vince/Mysterio match at SummerSlam that never actually happened. Umaga felt the best way to end the show would be with Mysterio, who is a good friend of his in real life, pinning him. The consensus of the other wrestlers was that it was the right way to book the main event, which saw Mysterio and Triple H team up to face Umaga and Randy Orton, yet Triple H made sure the finish was him pinning Orton.

These things are getting more and more hilarious. That whole thing doesn't even make sense. How did Triple H make sure that was the finish if it wasn't what was planned? Who did he get heat with? How would anyone know about this?

These things are getting more and more hilarious. That whole thing doesn't even make sense. How did Triple H make sure that was the finish if it wasn't what was planned? Who did he get heat with? How would anyone know about this? The Shadow from the CNN special filled the NEWZ sites in. |

It was RAW's main event: Triple H is a RAW Superstar --> he gets the pin to further the D-X (one night only) v Randy Orton storyline.
Sure, Rey'd have finished the match, but meh.

No guys, this story is 100% legit. My friend's girlfriend's barber was there at the show. After the match, HHH punched Rey's grandmother who was in attendance.

I'm so sick of hometown guys have to go over in their hometown!!! Thats what I liked about Kurt Angle, sure he got a few big hometown wins but the last 4 or 5 times he was wrestling in Pittsburgh he has jobbed.
Anyway this is just NEWZ and even if things were changed to see HHH pin Orton I don't see what the big deal or beef is.
