Out of the big five WWe PPV's, Survivor Series has to be my least favorite b/c they only book one or two classic SS matches. Back in the day there were 4 to 5 four on four or five on five matches on the card. Why the change??? It would be like changing RR by simplifying the rumble as one 20man match then filling up the rest of the card with singles matches thus totally defeating the purpose.
Anyways... here's my card for this years series and wish every year was set up as so.
RAW World Title Championship Match: Ladder Match
Randy Orton vs. HBK
SD! World Championship: Cage match
Batista vs. Undertaker
RAW Survivor Series Match:
(Mystery Team Captain) Chris Jericho, Jeff Hardy and London and Kendrick vs. Ken Kennedy, Carlito, cade and Murdoch
SD! Survivor Series match
Misterio, Matt Hardy and the Major Bros. vs. Khali, MVP and Duece and Domino
ECW Survivor Series Match:
CM Punk, Colt Cabana, Ace Steele and Jay Bradley vs. Morrison, Stevie Richards, Miz and Thorne
Survivor Series Wildcard Match: (Winner gets title shot at RR)
HHH, Ric Flair, Big Daddy V and Snitsky vs. Edge, Kane, Dreamer and Umaga

You know, the goal of putting on a ppv is to actually get people to buy the ppv. For anyone that doesnt follow OVW or ROH, I highly doubt they wouild even tune into this if it was on heat, minus the two title matches...

The only change I would make is to hold off the Taker/Batista match until Armageddon and put them in an interprotional team.
Batista/Undertaker/Rey Mysterio/Kane/Hornswoggle vs. Great Khali/Mark Henry/Finlay/BDV/Jaime Knoble
HHH/Jeff Hardy/Matt Hardy/CM Punk/Balls Mahoney vs. Umaga/Ken Kennedy/MVP/John Morrison/The Miz

What ruined the mystique of the SS for me wasn't the loss of the 5-on-5 matches, it was moving it from Thanksgiving and then the night before. It went from being a part of a holiday tradition to just the November PPV event.

That card is not fit to wipe my arse with And your reply isn't worth using as newspaper in the bottom of a birdcage. As for that card, it's okay, but it's a bit kind of...well, a fanboyish 'dream card'. And Orton has yet to prove himself in a ladder match situation, not one-on-one. |
