Kurt still says some really stupid shit here.......TNA isn't remotely close to competing with the WWE in any way.
Also he didn't quit or ask for his release.........he got fired for being a drug addicted that refused to go to rehab.

TNA has an X-Division?
Good interview, surprisingly.

I just heard that WWE was afraid he was going to kill himself so they let him go. Yes this is surprisingly sane. Now if only he would listen to what's coming out of his mouth TNA would be a much better company. Like his sudden realization they have an X Division.

Mildest shoot I've seen in a while. He's crazy if he thinks that TNA will compete with the WWE in two years. Hell, they don't even broadcast on the same day as any WWE program. Do that, and then we'll see if they're any competition.

I just heard that WWE was afraid he was going to kill himself so they let him go. That's just two different ways of phrasing the same situation really. WWE doesn't "fire" people, they "wish them luck on future endeavors". And they probably were afraid he was going to kill himself since he was drug addicted. The story I heard right after it happened was that Angle sort of weaseled his way into a contract release because he wanted out, Vince granted him one and for some reason didn't give him the 90-day non-complete clause because he either figured Angle would get clean and come back to 'E on Angle's time and not Vince's dime or that Angle would get into coaching or MMA or something.

Do that, and then we'll see if they're any competition. Honestly, even if their ratings aren't up to par yet, even if they don't go live yet... I say put Impact against RAW. I'm hearing a lot of people don't watch TNA because they forget it's on Thursday nights, something that's often slipped my mind as well. If Impact goes head-to-head with RAW, people will know it's there. And whenever RAW sucks, we'll change the channel to see if TNA is any better at the moment. And probably also do so during commercials. This will get TNA more exposure, see just how well they can compete and, if their ratings begin to rise because of this, create a whole new Monday night Wars. Otherwise, they can just sit there the entire time on Thursday nights and slowly die while WWE continues their refusal to acknowledge TNA even exists. Maybe TNA will get clobbered, maybe not. But if they really want to compete, well, they're going to have to actually take their enemies on.

You know Kurt Angle had a lot of clout when TNA tells him that they'll pay him for not showing up.

Kurt Angle shoots on WWE, with a AK47 and a bit too much drink in him. Karren is crying at his side as Shelton and Haas bleed dying at the entrance of Titan Towers as you can see Vince wetting himself on top of the roof planning to jump.

Kurt Angle From SAS Wiki Jump to: navigation, search Kurt Angle took sanity outside, beat it with a hose, gave it eighteen German suplexes and broke its ankle.
Probably needs to sit down and have some ice cream.
Every day we should consider ourselves lucky that Kurt Angle is not a vampire.

Well, he may not look insane, but I think his logic is pretty faulty at times...
Of course TNA are more "flexible" with dates and shows... It's like touring with a garage band after having been a roadie for the Rolling Stones.
Vince didn't want Kurt to have a successful acting career? God, the good folks in Hollywood were heartbroken after hearing the news.
"Top Guy"? When Kurt exactly? Don't get me wrong, I like(d) Angle, and I enjoyed his work, but WWE were never 100% behind him. He was more like a very reliable "pronto" main eventer when needed. But despite his recent title runs, he was always scheduled to put somebody else over.
Batista and Cena may not be awesome wrestlers, but they put butts in the seats. 10 t-shirts sold > 10 variations of a leg lock

Even better..... that heavily hyped TNA went head to head with the dog show that gets Raw's time slot one Monday a year, and lost close to half its viewership.
