Am I the only one who forgets every day who the champion is? Randy Orton and creative have done nothing to make me feel like he's the champ. He doesn't act like one and he certainly does nothing to make me remember his actions on Raw the next day.
Does he lack credibility due to HBK superkicking his face off every week? Or is the guy just really boring?

It's really weird. I was very happy with him leaving No Mercy with the belt. But for about 3 weeks now, I'll watch Raw and ask my friend "wait....Orton is the champion?". I always forget, and I never do that. His reign has been very forgettable to this point.

He needs to defend the belt on Raw at least once against someone he can beat cleanly. You know, to remind us.
Duggan would work, since I don't think he ever killed that "legend" anyway.

The other day, I had to check who the WWE Champion was. I seriously couldn't remember.
I've never had to do that.

It's probably because we barely see Orton on TV because we get alot of HHH and HBK. I kinda forget because he never shows of his championship like Cena does.

I decided to wait at least a Month before having an opinion on Orton's reign. Now that that has passed...I think he's doing awful. It may be because he's not being booked to do much other than whimper at HBK but hey, put some smurfing effort into it Randy.

I think i is because he is boring. To me this is exactly the same as his first title run. Be it booking or whatever. Get the title off of him

Said it once, I'll say it again: I don't think it's possible for Orton to have a good title reign. He just doesn't have it in him. Poor SOB...

This would be a bad title reign for anyone, all he's doing is getting kicked by HBK a lot.

I already dislike Orton anyway, but the fact remains, he's being booked HORRIBLY in his current feud.
I mean even tho I'm 90% sure he'll retain at SS, HBK has punked the guy five weeks straight, and last night Orton's "revenge" was sloppy and McMahon-riffic.
Sorry Randy, I agree with HHH. Thumbs down.

Orton no longer has the qualities of a champion.

I'm still just glad he's not Cena and squashing the roster.

I'm still just glad he's not Cena and squashing the roster. Actually, I'd prefer it if he were squashing the roster. What happened to the nigh-unstoppable Psycho-Orton? That's what we need.

The booking of the feud with HBK isn't too shabby.
But it needed a counterpart able to show different emotions and facial expressions, not only a "serious yet a bit dazed look" or a "complacency smirk".
Orton is just kinda there, and I don't think it's only about the booking.

I have a theory. It's not a liked one, but here it is.
Randy Orton...he never had this "it" everyone thinks he had once the concussion angle started. Because what was it really? just him with a new concept of the RKO idea, same stupid pushups, same blank face, same general apathy. People only thought he had "it" because Cena was champ and didn't want Cena to be champ anymore. Well here we are, no more Cena, lights on bright, and...Orton sucks. Can't promo, can't emote, can't get people to care about his stupid pushups before the RKO. He has to get paired with McMahon, or Edge, to get people to care. And hell, when he was with Edge he made Edge seem downright boring at times.
Simply put, the booking is perfectly fine, it's Orton who's not able to carry his part of the angle.

At times I forget he's champion as well. I hope Taker/Batista goes on last as it's far more important than HBK/Orton.

I disagree for one aspect. If Orton WAS stronger the bad booking wouldn't hurt him. They shouldn't book a rather emotional angle for a guy who looks like he's about to take a nap or has uncomfortable constipation. The booking would work great for Cena, or hell even Batista(sad I know, but least Batista can act angry). For Randy he's already at a loss because he can't convey anything convincingly. Since they have to have realized it by now the booking is also a little off.
