Randy is kinda like Eli Manning. Groomed to be the next great one in his market and expected to be far better than his daddy, but ended up being a decent player around the same level as his dad.

So basically the solution is to put Orton in mic battles against people who either also can't speak, have a silly-sounding voice, or also went to the "HHH School of Learning-uh to talk-uh like the game-uh" ...I almost feel like Chris Matthews should be yelling right now. Not exactly. I'm not saying you should put him in there solely with guys like Lashley, Shelton and Batista, but if you did, you'd see the difference between merely being average and being embarressingly bad. Is he great on the mic? No. But he's not the worst talker in that company either. Not by a long shot. I dunno, having only the ability to talk in monotone at varying volumes is pretty bad. Hell, at least Shelton has the ability to use facial expressions when he talks even though he sounds dumb.

It's like 'I know I'm bad and cringworthy to listen to but here are some nifty facial expressions from the pantomine school of acting'. I don't mind Randy on the mic because 1) he's clear enough to listen to 2) he doesn't repeat one catchphrase after another and 3) avoids saying anything really dumb and wrestlecrap worthy. Which gives him an advantage over a few of the people in WWE.

What's with the Boz hate? How can anyone hate someone who starred in Stone Cold? That movie is epic. Word. Life.

I have no idea why he continues to be pushed. I don't think he has it. I voted Tony Mandarich.

I have no idea why he continues to be pushed. I don't think he has it. I voted Tony Mandarich. Well... He's young (apart from Cena most of their main eventers are in their late thrities, early forties) and can work a full time schedule. He's capable of having good to great matches. He's the size WWE likes Wrestles the way WWE like (they're the ones telling him to do the chinlocks) They're short on stars right now and need everyone they can get.

He can sell but other than that he hasn't showed me much since becoming champ.

I don't have any serious issues with him as a worker. Doesn't it seem like they've had to sacrifice way too many guys to get him "over" though? (I'm using that term in quotes loosely.)

I don't think so... HBK was injured, and had to get written out anyway in May, so you may as well write in a storyline that puts someone over. Same with RVD and Cena. They weren't sacrficied, they were taking time off anyway. As for for Dusty Rhodes, well he's barely on screen anyway. So having Orton beat him up isn't that big a deal and it's not particulalry damaging to Dusty to get beaten up by a guy half his age.

The Dusty thing was also a good way to get Cody Rhodes into the mix.
