Last night on RAW, JR said "Smackdown vs Raw 2008, available on all your favorite video game systems tomorrow!" So, does that mean it's out today on the Commodore 64? That's not a video game system, it's a home computer! Heh, I can't wait to play it on my Dreamcast. Well, technically, the PS2 isn't either. I mean it says "Sony Computer Entertainment System" right at the boot-up ;D Regardless, I'm not gonna buy it now, cuz I looked it up, and it's not out for the Magnavox Odyssey. (But seriously, I'mma hold off on it till it reaches the $20 buck mark, or till when I go insane with boredom, whichever comes first)

Sabu f***ing rules in this game. I've played 4 straight hours as him and Sandman, and I never see myself getting sick of it. The match pacing is MUCH more realistic this year.

I'm watching my brother play a Four Way Ladder Match, is it supposed to look this choppy or is it just that there's 4 people?

This 24/7 mode is hilarious to watch, you're number one contender but you're not.. Is it the Bret Hart game?

Somebody needs to create Vader and give him the "Peanut Butter Vader Time" music.
And make him dance.

SDvsRAW08 is #2 in the UK behind Call Of Duty 4 - 44% of purchases were for the PS2.

I picked up the game and had a few 1-on-1 matches to see what it's like. It seems alright I guess. The pacing does seem better -- matches actually take a longer time to develop and move along then the "turbo matches" from previous installments.
Also good to see Chloe made the cut this year, but most of the tag teams didn't!

Tell me if I'm wrong but to initiate in a power grapple, all i have to do is to flick the right stick and to initiate in the ultimate control, i have to hold r1 first.

RS in any direction -> quick grapple move R1 + RS Up -> fighting style grapple 1 (once locked, RS in any direction to do a move) R1 + RS Down -> fighting style grapple 2 (again, RS in any direction once grapple is locked) R1 + RS Left -> UC Grapple 1 R1 + RS Right -> UC Grapple 2

I'm not gonna sit here and play this and complain about it...
Seriously, I'm not going to play this game anymore, it's so awful I feel like I'm being insulted as I play, thank god my brother bought it and not me. I can't get over how sluggish it moves, how it has THE EXACT SAME ANIMATION AND COMMENTARY as last year, and how awkward the ring looks, and that's the stuff that's new that I hate. Not even going to get into this tired gameplay, am I the only one who just can't stomach this game?

Seriously, does the PAL PS3 version of this game just not have the cheat bit or something?

Seriously, the only thing that's wrong for in this game is its easiness. Remembers SYM's season mode where as the year goes on, the more difficult it becomes to win.

That doesn't really make any sense, as PS3 games aren't region-coded. Thus, I don't understand why there would be differences between the "US" and "UK" versions of the game. ...eh, I'll just go with the patented "it's freaking THQ, it doesn't need to make sense" explanation.

For now, I'm going by the "I just can't find it" school of thought. It can't be that hard to find though.
