Looks like I'm gonna say no to Smackdown... again. I didn't buy SvR 07 until it became $17.99 used and I'm gonna do the same here. All the crap mentioned above does NOT justify $50(I have a PS2 mind you) that could go to something much MUCH better. Hear hear. I STILL don't have 07. Don't see much point to is, as the biggest draw was GM Mode, and I think I'll get something deeper from FPWR. Hell we can't even use CAWs in FPWR's GM mode (if i recall correctly) and it's still better.

But there's enough in-game wrestlers to make one hell of a promotion with.

Meh, I'm enjoying it. I even like 24/7 mode, does not seem broken to me. Maybe if they actually bothered to release FPW in the UK I might whinge and moan a bit more I suppose.

Last night on RAW, JR said "Smackdown vs Raw 2008, available on all your favorite video game systems tomorrow!" So, does that mean it's out today on the Commodore 64?
(But seriously, is it out on PS2?)

Better be there. I have bad luck when I pre-order something, its usually the last place to get it...no matter where I pre-order.

Seriously, how do you get unlimited CAW points on SVR 2008? When I get this thing in a month or so (February? Maybe?) if I can't create CAWs without going through a whole bunch of bullcrap, I will be angrier than my avatar.
I just realized it. The CAW creation (and interaction aka kicking Batista's ass with my CAWs) is why I enjoy the game. Yeah, it's limited in a lot of ways but that just means it's more of a challenge to create the stars from other promotions.
That running with the R1 thing and no classic controller config sounds like a steaming pile, but by the beginning of the new year, I'll be fiending for the game, so I'll probably get used to it.
*Plus, I just found out my wife's getting me NBA 2K8 for Christmas. Shhhhh. I love this woman, but if she finds out that I found out, I'll receive a Burning Hammer into the living room ottoman.*

This sucks. The Walmart in my town doesn't have SVR2008 or any other new games today because it wasn't delivered in my town. This is so gay.

Glad to hear it's not yet. (But I fear it will be soon

The answer is that "Yes" it is out today.
At least here in Alberta, Canada. I just picked mine up. I'm still at work..but I must wait until I get home to play. Unless..I call my girlfriend to bring my 360 to work..however, she would probably call me an idiot..and my boss would probably fire me.
Hopefully..I wouldn't recieve a burning hammer, unlike you Avalanche.

I'm having fun with it. Building stats is a pain in the ass, but I'm having fun.
EDIT: Oh, and good news for all you 360 owners. The CAW models (face and body builds) transfer over PERFECTLY. All you need to do is mess around with the attire and you can create everybody you had from last year.
Yay for Bryan Danielson and Chris Hero!

The Pounce looks great.
If you look around through this thread..I posted a video a while back with previews of different moves...including the pounce.
I'm very happy with "The Pounce"..looks quite brutal.

Actually I just found a YouTube video of it.
Looks like there could be more selling by the opponent.
