Yeah. Meaning that I win half my 24/7 mode matches using various underhanded tactics as Edge, but I am still being booked as John Cena.

Oh well, CAW mode is keeping me busy despite 24/7's suckage. I just made Joey Ryan and he looks just as sleazy as he does in real life.

Edit: Looks like the AI still manages to have a competitive match on its own. I watched Super Dragon and Joey Ryan go at it, and they had a slobberknocker. Of course, they also happened to end up in an endless loop of back reversals until Dragon finally managed to drop Ryan on his head with a suplex and follow up with a curb stomp... which Ryan actually kicked out of even though his body was in the red. Dragon eventually won with a tiger suplex pin.

Honestly, if I were to get this game, the only thing I would really focus on is Create An Entrance. But then I would want to use custom soundtracks, and I don't have a 360.

I was thinking that the buildup to AC/DC's "Thunderstruck" would make for a great entrance.

I need to ask again... is Maria in this game? I saw a Loading screen for her and it looked like it had a screen shot of her in the game. I just want to make sure I wasn't seeing things.

She appears occasionally in 24/7 mode, in backstage interviews.

So there's probably a model of her in the game, but you probably won't get it, unless you have AR Max and a PS2.

I don't really have a problem with 24/7 mode yet.

It appears to be same kinda stuff as last year. I could do without the voice/overs tho. Although they add a little something to the backstage videos..I'd be content with text if it gave us Londrick and some more moves.

Ah well.

Overall, I really don't have a problem with the game. Its what I expect from the Smackdown Series now and I'm happy with that. Plus, I get guys like CM Punk and Sabu this year. Weee!

Thanks for the answers guys. I wouldn't be so mad at the lack of manuel targeting if the auto-targeting worked worth two cents. There are times where a guy is coming at me with a chair and all I can is attack the guy that's layed out on the mat.

Another thing is me and my friend like to jump the computer sometimes and this makes it hard. It is such a simple feature to have that I have to wonder what the hell THQ/Yukes was thinking. It's nothing that will ruin the game per-say for me, but will give me some agravation.



I'm so weird about the Smackdown games. I love them, but the little things annoy me every year. This year I keep getting a headache about the lack of targeting, the lack of generic heel/face 3-man entrances (so I can have Evolution coming out NOT acting like MNM with Melina), the roster not including everybody on the main shows, and how you have to put in custom music (you have to make an individual "playlist" for each song you want to use).

Yesterday I had an awesome Extreme Rules match with Sandman and Elijah Burke. It ended with a guitar shot followed by a sick looking neck breaker from Sandman.

Also me and my friends decided to do a Team Series Challenge to make the game more interesting. 4 guys, 4 teams, we also kicked in 20 bucks each so the winner at least gets the money back he spent on the game. If anyone is interested (I bet there won't be) you can private message me and I'll answer any question about the setup, rosters, results, etc.

So, has anyone figured out any cheats yet to stick in the cheat mode thing? I've tried a few different obvious words, but to no avail

I really hope there's a code that will unlock everything, or at the very least give unlimited money or unlimited exp because I don't want to play through 24/7 mode any more than I have to

- The code to unlock Kelly Kelly's alternate attire in Smackdown vs Raw 2008 is KellyKG12R. This only works on the 360 and PS3 versions of the game.

Y'know what's sad? Going over to CAW.ws, it seems like the first batch of CAW's aren't exactly a bumper crop. I know it's early, but the ratings there are bottom of the barrel on some of the CAW's...and they've earned them. There are some atrociously-built wrestlers there, which is odd, considering that the CAW system hasn't changed in ages.

People should know how to build wrestlers by now.

Fortunately, there are some good ones, like a Victoria and a few good Raven's. Otherwise, people just aren't living up to it.
