Could somebody put together a list of reasons NOT to buy this game? Because I haven't really kept up with all the newz and it seems like the positives outweigh the negatives.

Anyway, I seem to be having some problems with the custom soundtracks. I have a playlist with all my songs on the hard drive, but whenever I select it in the Create-An-Entrance menu it only plays the first song of the playlist. Thus, Johnny Nitro will be stuck with Rock You Like A Hurricane until I manage to figure something out. Sure, I did manage to work around the issue by creating "playlists" that only have one song, but that's really f***ing stupid. I noticed that you now have "Light My Fire" as his theme. How did you manage to get around the issues you were having with the custom soundtracks? I plan to use them a lot myself so I hope they didn't botch this feature.

How similar/different is it to 07? Because I didn't really like that one but this one looks like it'll be better.

I plan to use them a lot myself so I hope they didn't botch this feature. Well, like I mentioned in that post, I worked around the problem by creating a bunch of new playlists that consist of a single song (this is done on the 360 dashboard, obviously) and then pick them from the "user playlist" menu in Create-An-Entrance. It works well enough even if it's a bit of an unnecessary hassle. I do hope THQ makes a patch that allows us to choose whatever song from a bigger playlist, but I'm not holding my breath for that to happen.

I've got a general 360 question: can you burn a load of songs onto a CD in MP3 format and then rip them to the hard drive, or can I only use audio CDs? I ask because I've got WWE Anthology as an MP3 disc already, so it would save me a lot of time just using that rather than creating multiple audio CDs, or how about using a USB memory stick and copying them from that onto the hard drive?

For the CAW Custom Music, here's the thing.
In order to have a song selectable, it must have it's own playlist. This means we're all going to have to create 30 (for CAWs) separate playlists, as well as several others (Enter Sandman, Man In A Box, etc) for existing Superstars.

You need to use audio CDs, as portable USB devices and MP3 discs will only allow you to play back the songs on the 360 instead of ripping them to the hard drive.

I've managed to get my catalogue of songs I want from all the various WWE CDs and TNA one down to 2 discs worth of music, so it's not all bad. Damn it! I've forgot the ECW themes I've got from their CD release back in the 90's!

I can't find the Morrison entrance everyone is talking about... Like I already said, that was just my custom entrance for him. He has the regular Johnny Nitro music and entrance by default, I just made that a bit more epic.

Nah, I haven't got videos or anything, I just mentioned the entrance in one of my earlier posts.
I really wish Johnny had the sunglasses and coat in this game, though.

Dunno if you guys have seen this before or if it's even the right place to put it but: www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3164283 Quatermann: More MGS PSP, More Sonic Games Plus, remember THQ's N64 wrestler No Mercy? It's coming back. By 1UP Staff, 11/09/2007 It's Friday and we're all still reeling from the news that NPD numbers won't be gracing us in the weeks ahead, but as the latest issue of EGM falls into subscriber hands, the Quartermann's able to bring you the latest rumors. And lest we forget, Quartermann was right on the money about Bionic Commando. This month, an old rumor resurfaces in a new form, as BioShock is apparently back on for PlayStation 3. Previously, it'd been speculated that Microsoft tied up 2K Games' aquatic adventure as an exclusive, but there's a change in the tide, as the world rapture may be Cell-enabled in 2008, after all. And while Metal Gear fans are pouting over the most recent Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots delay, Kojima Productions hasn't been snoozing about taking the series in other directions. While everyone else is taking their franchises to Nintendo DS, Metal Gear is sticking to PSP, with a brand-new (that's not a spin-off) game headed to the portable, this time taking Snake back to the early days of his career. We'll leave you with two last tidbits. One, THQ's WWF: No Mercy for the Nintendo 64 is coming back via the WiiWare service with completely updated rosters. Two, the lackluster performance of Sonic the Hedgehog hasn't deterred Sega; they're already hard at work at another "real" Sonic game. 2D, please! See you next month, and make sure to check out the latest issue of EGM's special holiday "Games Overload" issue, landing in the hands of subscribers any day now. __________________ Hopefully I should be getting 08 on sunday. (That's my game and come sunday....) And THIS is the reason I'm getting a Wii!

I like the OVW reference with the one Achievement there.
But I'm still disappointed in everyone who's buying the game. There. I said it.

But if when I get to GameStop and asked for the used version and some little punk says "Sup. Don't have anymore." and I read on this board about a secret unlockable Tito Santana as a playable legend character?!
Then what do I do?!

Despite my best efforts, I couldn't help it. And of course, you guys in the US are getting Fire Pro Returns at the same time as SVR08 and that means you immediately have a better and much cheaper option... while there's still no real sign of FPWR coming out in Europe anytime soon (if at all).
