Could someone please explain the theology of "stomping a mudhole in someones ass and walking it dry.."?
There are some others: By Gawd his body had been broken in half.. Basic Thuganomics..

There's a religion involved in stomping a mudhole in someone?

I wish I could, but I can't. I just remember hearing Dusty Rhodes say that first some years back.

I think I can remember Jr saying something like; "BAH GAWD!! He's literally taken his head off!"
Don't know if that's exactly what you had in mind, but I always thought it was funny.

I'll explain some of these, seeing how I'm bored at work.
Stomping a Mudhole- This pertains to the inate abillity to both stomp a "mudhole" in someone so hard, you actually allow no mud for a mudhole to exist. Thus, the walking it dry portion of that saying.
Broken in Half-I'm sure this was popularized around the time were Jeff Hardy would land on tables, concrete, mat, etc. and would appear "broken in half." Thus, being good old JR, JR has constantly repeated this for EVERY instance where someone would appear physically mauled and well, you know the rest.

Yes, and some other words as well.
Styles: Big Dadd V's mass is planetary!
Cole: Mark Henry with those limb like arms!

Yes, and some other words as well. Styles: Big Dadd V's mass is planetary! Cole: Mark Henry with those limb like arms! While we're at it. "Undefeated" doesn't appear to have the same meaning in WWE as it has in the real world.

I really think some people in WWE need to look up the word "literally" in a dictionary. Incidently, JR was not the only one to do this. Gorilla Monsoon did this type of thing long before JR did by saying, "The fans are LITERALLY hanging from the rafters here in the Garden"back in the 80's.

A lot of Austin's sayings are just old phrases he rehashed and made his own thanks to constant repetition...same with JR.

In "The Death of WCW", there was a paragraph in there about how (i think) Stevie Ray was in an interview with Mike Tenay or Tony Schiavone and said something along the lines of "My head could've fallen right off" to which Tony/Mike replied "How tragic". If i find the official quote i'll edit it in. Lawler said at one of the PPVs this year that the roof was literally coming off. Michael Cole during a Kane/Mark Henry match: "Mark Henry is literally sucking the life out of Kane!" .....REALLY?! ha ha ha ha
