The three best selling WWE dvds in 2007 are wrestlemania 23 (337,000 units shipped), New and Improved DX (209,000 units shipped) and the ladder match history dvd (178,000 units shipped). The dvd on wrestling families didn't make the cut.
Unforgiven 2007 featuring Cena vs. Orton did 210,000 buys world wide- 137,000 of which that were domestic. The numbers are way down from last year's figures which were 307,000 worldwide buys and 187,000 domestic. Although unforgiven's numbers seems to be in line with what the B-ppv shows hav e been getting as of late.

Of course this year's Unforgiven couldn't match last year's.
Last year you had Trish's farewell match, DX vs Vince and Shane and Big Show in Hell in a Cell, and TLC between Edge and Cena.
This year's card couldn't match that.

I generally find anything between Summerslam and Royal Rumble a waste of my time. Was like it last year, and this year I havent watched any WWE since Orton won the Belt and I don't feel like i've missed anything important. So i'm not surprised buyrates are going down.

I agree, I don't see any real incentive to want to watch any of the PPV's from that time period. Even Survivor Series which is like one of the bigger PPV's, doesn't feel that way by this Sunday's lineup. I'll probably end up ordering the Rumble (that is if I haven't got tickets for it by then). Speaking of which, has the date for tickets for that show been announced yet?

They mentioned early December on PWinsider this week, because their main focus is shifting the remaing Mania tickets first, and they'll sell MSG out in 60 seconds anyway.

Even Survivor Series which is like one of the bigger PPV's, doesn't feel that way by this Sunday's lineup. And at least part of the reason why Survivor Series doesn't have that feel is the lack of John Cena and Edge. Without the company's top star and the company's top heel on the card, it's felt the effect.

I've seen a grand total of three pay per views this year, when in 2003 and 2004 I think I saw all of them.

I've seen only RR and Wrestlemania as they happened this year, and caught the rest of them on 24/7 with Backlash the only one I intend to buy on DVD.
