Brawl For All 2K7.... Elijah Burke Shelton Benjamin Finlay Dave Taylor Lance Cade Trevor Murdoch Charlie Haas Hardcore Holly Jim Duggan Val Venis Chuck Palumbo Festus Kevin Thorn Balls Mahoney Snitsky Mike Knox See I doubt they'd use names like Finlay or Snitsky because of what they've accomplished in their careers and their gimmicks. It would completely shoot them down the ladder if Mike Knox would KO Finlay. All the rest can stay though.

I loved brawl for all, but it's clearly terrible for business. Injuries, messes up your storylines, where to go afterwards. A shambles.
For example, what do you do with a winner who then has no abiity to put on a wrestling show? I think guys like Nathan Jones would probably do awesome in the Brawl for all, but then you put his sucky wrestling up against who? He's already decimated the mid-card legit so where can you push him? Cena Vs Jones at wrestlemania. I cringe.
I loved it, but it's silly and will NEVER happen again.
EDIT: Is it true that Dan Severn refused to be a part of the brawl for all because they said a lot of his legit takedowns would qualify as illegal? He'd have had a good showing I imagine.

I believe Severn backed out because his takedowns weren't considered "clean"... with "clean" meaning the technique of the maneuver and not the actual legality of them. I could be wrong, though, but I don't think he was getting in trouble for ramming his head in the guy's groin or anything... they just didn't look pretty.

That wasn't a good boxing match...and I'm beginning to doubt Dr. Death's medical credentials.

Burke has a boxing background doesn't he? I think the legitimately toughest guy on the roster would be Shelton Benjamin, since he has such a great ameteur wrestling background. He could make mince meat of JBL or Holly in under a minute probably. So be it, but Regal and Finlay would probably eat him alive. I doubt it. Benjamin has been tested comptetiviely at a national level (he was at one point the number three ametuer wrestler in the world) and succeeded. Yeah, Finlay may have won a few barfights but he wouldn't last long against Benjamin, Angle, Lesnar...etc. Guys that have fought at the top level and beaten the best there is. You know why Shelton's such a laid back guy? Becuase he knows if anything goes down he can take take care of it. He's not going around like Finlay claiming how tough he is. He doesn't have to.

The holy brawl for all sucked man, if it was mixed rules why they wore boxing gloves and why on earth would you leave all your legitimate fighters off this thing??
On a sidenote, Bradshaw's boxing might be the worse i've ever seen.

brawl 4 all was fun, but in hindsight it was a terrible idea. some of the toughest guys on the roster are jobbers or cowardly heels. how would it look if someone like santino marella, with his current gimmick, used his MMA skills to submit a main eventer in no time? that would be terrible. what if shelton benjamin took a surefire attraction for the company to the ground and treated them like a ragdoll? people wouldn't buy it, plus you've got injuries and the fact that there are HUGE egos in wrestling, and more than a few guys wouldn't enjoy being knocked out on national TV.
but if they did do it, my pick would be undertaker, burke or regal. two out of the three have some great shooting skills, and the other... well, he's the motherf***ing undertaker.

The ony thing the Brawl for All did was make me a bigger Steve Blackman fan. It was supposed to be this boxing/wrestling hybrid, but everyone else kind of awkwardly circled each other, swinging wildly, going for a knockout.
And meanwhile Blackman just calmly did takedown after takedown, annoying his opponent, boring the crowd, and racking up the points. He absolutely would have won the tournament if he hadn't gotten injured and the whole thing had stayed legit, and it would have been the most awesomely unsatisfying and anticlimactic thing EVER. He'd just have done takedowns, knocked no one out, and won by a billion points every time.

I don't know why everyone keeps insisting Regal has these great shooting skills.
Yeah, he can take cheap shots at untrained rookies ( I remember him beating the crap out of test when he accidently got cut open) but has he ever fought at a competative level?
Taking liberties with an opponent does not make you a tough guy. Just a coward.

Yeah, but fighting some local hard man is a world away from facing professional, highy skilled atheletes who train 12 hours a day (or whatever it is) at a competitive level. Eddie Guerreo had this reputation for being pretty tough (he was used to dealing with rowdy fans in Mexico) but when he picked a fight with Kurt Angle Kurt took him down easily in about ten seconds flat. That's not a knock on Eddie, but guys like Angle. Lesnar, Lashley, Benjamin are in another league when it comes to fighting skills and toughness. They spent years training day in and day out, to be the very best. Talking tough and winning a few barfights cannot compare to that. And it's odd how you never hear of Benjamin or Lashley shooting on an opponent or rookies isn't it? They have nothing to prove.

I can't be the only one who actually liked the Brawl For All, can I? No, and I would actually love to see another Brawl for All with todays stars, such as Elijah Burke, CM Punk, Shelton Benjamin, Cody Rhodes, DH Smith, Deuce, Domino, and Lance Cade. you do know that CM Punk's "Martial arts" is all gimmick and not real right?

In order for someone to go over either one of these beasts, kayfabe has to be written in.

Viscera's not that dangerous...yeah, he really fat but what else?
Khali? I suppose if he's just in there with regular guys he probably could win.

How come no one EVER went for a take down, you got 5 points for a take down. Better than getting knocked out
