I feel Vengeance 2001 will repeat itself tonight

Anyone have a suspicious feeling that Edge might not return tonight. You'd think that they'd make a big deal about his return. Seeing as how he's been in the E almost 10 years and hes in the WWE intro.

He got a video package after he won the WWE title the 1st time.

He got a tribute video for himself when he gave up the title and the announcers have barely said his name since he left.

I dont know maybe i'm setting myself up for a victory if he does make it but still I find it odd.

For the newbies who werent around back then the Vengeance comparison is that HHH was on the poster which made alot of people think he'd return at the ppv and he didnt but he did return a few weeks afterwards.

Or did I just simply miss the memo wwe made saying that Edge would return tonight?

Rey was on the great american bash poster and he wasn't there.

Taker was on the Armageddon 99 poster, and he wasn't there.

remember that the poster is done a couple months before, so it's likely that they won't return on the PPV.

I doubt Edge would no-show. At the very least I expect a backstage appearance or something.

It isnt just a poster. Hes been used in promotional videos.

... well the TV adds DO feature Edge cutting up the ring with a chainsaw. It doesn't make any since from a marketing standpoint to have someone featured all over you're television commercials NOT be at the show.

You must not be in marketing. I'm not, but I can certainly see it making sense. They're not promising anything, so they don't have to deliver anything, but you're still buying it hoping for something.

"You" was more universal. I could gather from your original post that you probably weren't gambling $40 on something so unlikely.
