I think that Monday will have a bit of a higher rating -- maybe a .2 higher than what they've been getting.
Does anyone think it will get a SUPER SPIKE? Like a SAMOAN sized spike, 4.0+?
Or how's about a downgrade? People don't tune in because most of everyone has been spoiled?

No, but the rating will improve.
The one question I have is, has WWE peaked many people too soon with this?

How has all their pre-return hype worked on the last few times? "Jeff Hardy returns"... "Triple H returns"... now this.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, WWE needs to stop with all of this hype BS. They're practically saying "Hey, we know the show sucks, but at least tune in on this night so you don't miss something huge!" What made WCW Nitro so good during its peak (96-98 or so) was the way they fostered an evironment where it felt like these huge events could happen at any time, so you have to tune in every week or risk missing something good. DobbleDobbleE could learn alot from this.

I don't think it will this week. There really hasn't been much about it during the shows up until the last two weeks and even then not much was made of them then.
Now I think next week after the person debuts (yes we all seemingly know who it is but, its still a spoiler) then it may.

No, but it will be slightly higher. Whenever there is a big culmination to a storyline, it almost always is.
It would've been much higher if Jericho returned unexpectedly at the end of the previous week's Raw. Not even one indicaton of a return. People would be more surprised, thus they would be interested.

I don't think ratings are going to be affected much at all, and the main reason is that the only people who even know about this impending Jericho return are the people who have been watching Raw anyway. It isn't as if they have been running these hype videos outside of WWE TV where an average television viewer is going to see it and want to turn in. In other words the people who are watching tonight to see Y2J are the same viewers who would be tuning in tonight anyway even if the only draw was a main event between Val Venis and Snitsky.

Yeah, but, not all WWE fans catch Raw EVERY SINGLE WEEK. I think that this week has garnered enough interest for folks to make the point to tune in.

It'll probably be a 3.7 or 3.8, I don't see it spiking ratings that seriously, but you never know.

Should be a minor increase, that's about it.

Yes. The real question is--will the increase last?

Yes. The real question is--will the increase last? I doubt it, once the debut has happened and the excitement has died down, it'll be back to business as usual I think. As he's only just one man and if Austin, Hogan, Foley, DX can't get the ratings to stay up, I doubt Jericho would.

The only way they'll ever increase ratings is putting attention into everything, so all of the product seems important to fans - which translates it into being unmissable television.

I don't think it'll make a big difference one way or the other. I'll probably enjoy the show more however.

They should've spread out the media better.
