Wow.
I can't believe they still believe it's real. At least, that's the impression these stupid rules give off.
WWE simply won't go through Georgia, though. Sucks for the fans there, but what can they do? Let's hope that other states don't adopt this.

Welll this kills indy wrestling in Georgia, wasn't there some loophole if a company is worth over 100,000 dollars or something it doesn't have to listen to half of thouse rules?

As I said in the other thread, heels will be officially banned from the State of Georgia.

Well, thats what all you "smarks" get who been saying the "government" should get involved due to the deaths. People going find out that its not a good idea. Absolutely right. People have actually been clamoring for government regulation in wrestling. Enjoy!!

I said I'd comment on some of the more stupid rules, and here they are.
This is just my opinion, but I have a feeling that there will be some officials who will be a little more harsh than others when it comes to getting this deposit back. I can just imagine some small company getting fleeced for 10 Grand because they broke a window or something.
Yay! More taxes! To quote my favorite teacher, who's my econ. teacher, "Its UN-AMERICAN to pay too much taxes!"
And on top of the 10 Grand and 5%, you'll have to pay this. I'm sure this will be costly as well.
. Well, there goes pretty much any gimmick match.
Well, there goes anyone bringing their families to events. I have a feeling there are more important issues in the world than a 16 year old getting nachos without their step-dad.
Woo! Even more money to be paid! I want to be a commission representative. Being paid $100 to watch a wrestling show. Good Deal!
Like I said, I have a feeling that the commission will be VERY, VERY strict, looking for ever loophole to get money from small companies.
So I guess Card Subject to Change means nothing now, in Georgia.
Bye Bye Cheap Heel Heat!
Bye-Bye 50% of hardcore matches(at least in Indy wrestling)
Honestly, who cares what they wear?
KAYFABE! Thats the only way I can explain that one.
So now they have to ask the commission for longer matches. I have a feeling this is going to be one of those "easier said than done things"
Where are the gimmick matches? I guess we'll never see TNA in Georgia.
Submissions?
High-fliers?
Last I checked, isn't wrestling a dangerous activity?
YAY! Fake blood and no blade jobs!
Read my stance on time-limits
(24) Refusal or Inability to Continue.
Kayfabe much?
I can pretty much sum this up all at once. Kills modern-tag wrestling, and also any multi-man matches, it seems.
Again. Georgia Athletic Commission, Kayfabe is dead. Wrestling is fake!
Why oh why are they even bothering with regulating this?
Again, another pointless rule.
Again, I have a feeling the GAC is going to be sticklers again a promoter for any thing possible.

Some of the highlights I found: (6) Wrestlers MAY NOT deliberately cut themselves and all wrestlers must be over (18) years of age. (10) Before the beginning of a wrestling show, all changes or substitutions in the advertised program of wrestling shall be posted at the ticket window and at the entrance to the facility. a. Changes or substitutions shall also be announced in the ring before commencement of the first match along with the information that any ticket holder desiring a refund based on those announced changes or substitutions shall be entitled to receive a refund before commencement of the program. b. Purchasers of tickets shall be entitled, upon request by them, to a refund of the purchase price of the tickets, if the request is made before the commencement of the first match. (11) A physical or verbal threat of aggression shall not be directed toward any member of the audience. (12) All wrestling or entertainment shall take place either in the ring or within the partitioned-off portion of the gym or arena. Physical activity shall not be permitted between wrestlers, referee, or wrestling event staff in the audience or outside of the safety partition. a. A wrestling match shall have a maximum time limit of sixty (60) minutes. a. A wrestling contest shall be determined by: i. One (1) fall; or Two (2) out of three (3) falls. c. No wrestling contestant shall use a foreign object(s) or prop(s) with the deliberate intent to lacerate himself or herself, or one’s opponent. v. Only two (2) wrestlers from opposing teams shall be permitted to be in the ring at any one (1) time; So, basically, they banned ECW.

So either
a) Georgia Lawmakers are the only people left in the known universe who still think wrestling is real, or
b) They want wrestling out of Georgia, but don't want to say so explicitly, so they're making the rules so restrictive that nobody in their right mind would book an event there.
God, I hope it's (b), but I've seen so many lawmakers do so many boneheaded things, that (a) isn't entirely out of the realm of possibility..........

and
16 ii. Be designed to prevent a wrestler from exiting through the barrier into the seating area during a contest
say the same thing....No more audience fights or interferance...
DAMN!

Folks, I think we might be overblowing this. Remember when Ohio was gonna legislate fake wrestling? Vince pulled the 'f*** you' card. Guess what? Ohio stopped meddling.
