I'm worried that the majority of the audience won't know who he is. That would be a frightful sight, pyro hits and he comes out to a Conway Pop.

Hell the Undertaker got conwayed when he came out at the ppv for his match with Henry, and that was Undertaker's return match. Reason? He wasn't Jericho. Not that he was against Mark Henry in the main event then? Unless you're being facetious. ...And I think some people may be underestimating collective memory. If anything, Jericho has an advantage that he was last seen opposite Cena

If anything, Jericho has an advantage that he was last seen opposite Cena No, not because he was against Mark Henry. Taker always gets a good pop, he's arguably the most consistently over person in the company. He gets a good pop when he comes out to squash Jamie Noble, doesn't matter. That night though...the crowd didn't want to pop for non-Jericho related things, even though it was Taker's return match after being gone for several months.

Jeez, it's not like the casual fans are mildly retarded. As long as the payoff's something that they can take seriously, it'll work fine.

I think the concern is that does the majority of said casual fans remember Jericho enough to make a huge pop for the guy. I'm sure they will, but there's always a small possibility.

I would think that Jericho would come back on Raw in the middle of a segment, a la 1999 when he interrupted The Rock.
It wouldn't make sense to bring him out of nowhere, for fear that a Conway Pop could occur....so I'm sure it'll be McMahon, or some kind of heel that's out there getting heat, which will make the fans clamor for Jericho even more, making him look like a million bucks when he finally returns and owns whoever's segment he interrupted.

No way will Jericho get Conwayed. I can't believe that there are wrestling fans out there that are that stupid.

Yeah youre right, i know theyre not stupid, and i know he's gonna get a huge pop tonight. It would just be a shame if the live audience crapped on it. Lol, i'm just WAY too excited.

Fans have been chanting Jericho at various shows, so it's a possibility. And this is coming a guy who thinks the average WWE crowd are crammed full of zombies given their reactions.

Every pop on here is a 'Conway pop'.
Cuz it's so cutting edge to say that.

How do you guys even know Chris Jericho is coming back? Sorry, I don't post on any wrestling forums so I don't know what's been going on backstage. He's reported to return on Raw tonight. As he has been for the past few months, like Taboo Tuesday.

Honestly, I thought Jericho got a good pop.
"Oh you remembered me!"
Seriously, the crowd knew who he was....notice they played along with "Evah!"? That hasn't been used in what, 2 years?

Seriously, it was just as good as his initial pop the first time he debuted.
