I've read that the skits involving Garvin and Sunshine as David Von Erich's servent will be on the DVD.
Sounds like a damn good match listing. I'm surprised Kerry Von Erich's title victory isn't on the DVD but they do have the Flair/Kerry cage match. I saw that on 24/7 recently and it's quite good. Outside of no Gino Hernandez, this looks to be a solid DVD.

I wonder if Gino being left out of the matches has to do with the way he died?

What makes you think Vince handpicks the matches? i think there was a big reason Kevin Von erich was on RAW WCCW should be more known and I'm going to get this DVD set and watch it alongside AWA and ECW. Now if vince could release a history of JCP/WCW/NWA comp I'd be more happy

Great Kabuki! Holy crap, I haven't heard that name in years. I'll definitely have to get this.

I never watched any WCCW, but I'm really interested in checking out the doc. Match listing is pretty solid too.

I kinda disagree with that, I think his unification match with Lawler definately surpasses it in terms of storytelling, even if he did lose. The Flair match definately cemented his career, but the Lawler match was probably a bigger impact. That match is on the AWA dvd I think. Too lazy to grab it and see. If it's not on that, I'm pretty sure it's on the "Greatest Stars of the 80s" or whatever it was called.

Anybody know anything about the first match listed? I've actually heard that the first match is from the 1950s, back in the day when the Dallas promotion was Texas Rasslin.

Thanks for the heads up. After watching this stuff on ESPN for most of the 80's, I've been drooling ever since it was announced.

I gotta give WWE props for the Iceman King Parsons love, but seriously, no Gino Hernandez? Really? Really?
I am going to 100% buy this...the most anticipated WWE DVD since The Rise + Fall of ECW
