It has the opposite effect on me. Makes me realise how ridiculously shallow it is these days.

It's always a great way to feel the nostalgia.
I wouldn't say things are really worse nowadays, and if so, not much worse. I just think things are different, as they should be.
Years later, when we look back from a different perspective, it'll probably be seen in a more positive light.

Does anyone have the one where the nWo had corrupted it?
It's too bad injuries and substance abuse killed that angle, because they were doing an excellent job of selling the idea that the nWo really meant to have the blood of the WWE on their hands.

I dunno, I think the substance abuse/injuries happened after it was killed off. From Nash and Hall's shoot, they both say that Hall was to defeat Austin at Mania, and Hogan would lose to Rock, but Rock would get laid out and they'd continue their reign of terror, but a few days before Mania, it's changed and Austin is beating Hall and Hogan is turning face, and Rock/Hogan clean house on the Outsiders.

What a fantastic video... Another one that really gets the goosebumps going is when during the invasion, Blassie comes in on a wheelchair, gets up from his chair and really gives one heck of a speech to the guys. It's gets me hyped up every time I watch it and I'm not even a wrestler lol.

One thing it does make me wish for is the return of a real championship belt. Kill the damn spinner all freaking ready!

Still, it could of continued if Hogan hadn't been pretty much forced by fan reaction to become face again, and if Nash and Hall been able to find a better replacement than X-Pac. Man, how cool would it have been if they had gotten the Macho Man?

I probably would've marked like crazy, as Savage was in good shape in 02 and could've got a final run, but whatever the grudge with Vince and him seems to prevent that.

Still, judging by his prominence in this video, Vince couldn't hate him TOO much. He's in there almost as often as anyone.

I mean, he was one of the most over acts in WWE besides Hogan in the 80's and speaking of the 80's, you can't make a DVD of the Greatest Superstars of the 80's and leave off Macho, but somehow Vince did it.

No idea. For all I know, it could be a serious dispute, or something as minor as copywrite issues with the "Macho Man" name.
