Is John Cena coming back months sooner than expected? I have been watching the 'Cena rehab' video's, and the latest one shows Cena who claims to have 'full range of motion' and that he 'only needs to build up strength' ( of the pec muscle I assume ).
I thought Cena was out for 9 months to a year - this video makes it sound as if he is forgive me for this, 'Superman' and is almost fully healed. Even the doctor and trainers in the video really hype that Cena is 'an animal' and has 'healed faster than anyone before'.
Thoughts?

Cena isn't Superman ...he's Wolverine. Except he can't seem to get his claws out (hence why the five knuckle shuffle looks so stupid).

John Cena is sitting on a machine that gathers and focuses all the sun's radiation that beams the waves to his pecs.

I hope he doesn't rush his comeback.
Mostly because I'd rather not have another "Superstar comes back from almost career-ending injury to win the Rumble and to get his title back at 'Mania" angle...

He went out in October. Nine months puts him at a July return, presumably at the Great American Bash or they'll save it for SummerSlam. A full year has him returning at No Mercy or Cyber Sunday. Physically and scientifically speaking, there is no chance in hell that he makes it back after three months at the Royal Rumble. It cannot physically happen.
At best, I could see him having a guest referee role at WrestleMania XXIV, where the most motion he'd need to do is count to three.

And I really hope Cena isn't that stupid.

It would be great if someone here with medical knowledge educate us on this. Don't have to be a Doctor or nurse, but someone who had this injury, or knows someone who did, or just likes to read medical books.
To this person: Why would the doctor and the trainers say what they did in the latest rehab video?

No way he will be back at the Rumble. It would be to soon even for him. What if he comes back and makes the injury worse because he couldnt wait? Not a wise decision.

I hope he comes back, wins the Rumble and wins the belt at Mania.
There would be a solid storyline behind it. Orton puts Cena out with an injury, Cena comes back from rehab, wins the Rumble challenges Orton for revenge, beats Orton and holds the title for 8 years.
It's the Savage/Steamboat storyline from WrestleMania 3 (Minus the whole Animal/Elizabeth thing)

Or WWE purposely exagerated how serious the injury was in the first place and has known all along he wouldn't be out so long. It would at least explain why he's not going to be on the Celebrity Apprenitice, since he'll need to be on the road with WWE. And it would sure make John Cena look strong if they can say that he came back earlier than any other person in the history of the world from such a "serious" injury. Don't get me wrong, it's a serious injury. Just maybe not as serious as we may have been led to believe.

Hmmmm, if he did have extending Wolverine claws wouldn't the '5-Knuckle Shuffle' have to be renamed the 'Slice yer own face off' ?

I don't doubt that they may have exaggerated the length of time that he'll be out, but not by that much. I wouldn't be surprised to see him back shortly after Wrestlemania. The videos are mostly just a way to put over his work ethic imo, and of course he's going to be optimistic about how his recovery is going. As for the Celebrity Apprentice, he was able to film that initial stuff he did while on the road with WWE, unless I misunderastood things. If anything, I'd say his dropping out is because he doesn't want anything to interfere with his rehab, especially if any of the challenges involved stuff where he had to lift any stuff.

They really shouldn't rush his return. You'd hope the company has learned its lesson by now.
Jericho is back and there's no reason why the majority of the main event booking shouldn't be building the show around him feuding with Randy.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see. But I can almost guarantee you Cena will be back in time to wrestle at WrestleMania.

if the E was smart, they'd keep him for the amount of time they said they would, if they fail to do so, they'd be digging their own grave with the goverment. If your gonna use Cena, maybe make him run in at the main event at Wrestlemania or something.

If he comes back early I'm going to be pissed the f*** off.
Him getting hurt and being forced to drop his belt is the best news I've gotten in a long time.

Would injecting large amounts of Steroids in the muscle speed up the healing process?
