Right now I'm listening to Talib Kweli's latest album "Eardrum"(Great album BTW) and heard this incredible line.
"I go hard like Iverson play in hurt ankles plus I wrestle my topics from a different kurt Angle.''
and I wanna know what are some other songs where the artist mentions pro wrestlers.

If I remember correctly, New Jack is referenced in a Weezer song.

If I remember correctly, New Jack is referenced in a Weezer song. Yeah, that was "El Scorcho." Anyways, someone made a post about this good YouTube video with wrestling references in hip-hop, so here's the link again: youtube.com/watch?v=IT8QlFT7gQsHmm... songs about wrestling... Well, my genres of expertise are punk, ska, hardcore, and its ilk, so let me contribute a handful of songs: "The Crusher" by the Ramones. Never sure if this was a real wrestler, but it sure is about wrestling. "You F---ed Up" by Los Dryheavers. This song is incredible. Really fast rock and roll song about the original ECW. The chorus is like a wrestling chant, and the song makes a bunch of references to the original fed. This is my favorite wrestling-related song. "Hulk Hogan" by Skankin' Pickle: Good band, but this song is kinda meh. Other songs that reference wrestling: -"Wrestlemania 5: Hulk Hogan Vs. Macho Man... Winner Gets Miss Elizabeth's Love" by Daggermouth (The title, der) -"The Bottom Line" by Belvedere. Here are the amusing lyrics: "The Bottom Line" He rose from Texas the wrestling scene writing the scriptures of 3:16, took it upon himself to erase pieces of trash who got in his face, I see his shirts wherever I wander, I know in my heart that they've never laundered and they never need it to be and that kind of attitude appeals to me. And Mcmahon can't control him so don't even try, you can have him arrested but there goes the ride, can't take away the intensity of his high, but you can't lock away the Stone Cold pride. Took out poor Vinnie a shot to the sac, A picture was taken so he could look back, A pain inflicted on a true fiend, molding the king of the true 3:16, he's in top form and his knee is fixed, ready to school that Shawn Michaels prick and open up a can of whoop-ass how do you like that jackass? And Mcmahon can't control him so don't even try, you can have him arrested but there goes the ride, can't take away the intensity of his high, but you can't lock away the Stone Cold pride.

I Think Method Man said in a song "I'am Big John Studd, middle name's Mud".

"WWF" by Bracket - doesn't mention a specific wrestler but the lyrics are:
"I throw you down But there's no pain I kick your head And act insane
If I do anything to you Enjoy the illusion Cause it won't hurt at all
I slap your face Without contact I wanna hear The crowd react
This confrontation is not exactly what it seems No one else seems to care."
I think they're taking the piss a little bit, but I don't care because they are an awesome band.

I Think Method Man said in a song "I'am Big John Studd, middle name's Mud". ...So his name is Big John Mud Studd? And "El Scorcho" also mentions Johnny Grunge. "Watchin' Grunge legdrop New Jack through a press table".

Anal c*** has a song called "Well, You Know, Mean Gene..." They also have one called "Hey, Aren't You Gary Spivey?" So, I guess that kind of counts. If not, it's still funny.

I'll go with the obvious REM's "Man on the Moon" which names Fred Blassie and Andy Kaufman.

The most prominent one might be REMs 'Man On The Moon' which is about Andy Kaufmann and mentions Freddie Blassie.

An independent rapper named Pestalance is the first person I've heard reference Mr Kennedy in his song "The End". He actually does the pause and says "Kennedy" a second time. I believe the actual line is "Yell my name out and repeat myself like Mr. Kennedy....Kennedy" Edit: Here's his myspace. The song is on his album. www.myspace.com/thepestalanceI bought his album from the site. Honestly, it was well worth the 12 bucks I spent on it.

How sweet would it be if there were a really talented band that chose to strictly write songs about obscure jobbers and other fringe wrestling people? I'm thinking metal/progressive rock but there'd be some ballads in there. Like a hair band struggling to make their way in modern times. Though seeing as how they're a hypothetical band, who knows? Sky's the limit.
