www.youtube.com/watch?v=d11srmbP93kI thought that his ground game was pretty top notch. Just like Hogan, Warrior, and Others he didn't really need other moves or even a moveset to really get his point across. But there's lots of instances where Goldberg actually shows some great technical wrestling. I'd point to his match with Regal, his series with Booker, his series with Big Papa Pump, and well he could go with anybody. He was WCW's answer to Ken SHamrock imo, hell Bischoff even says it in his book.

I agree. You had to watch all of his matches to see how varied his moveset is. I liked the submissions he would use.

I've always thought Goldberg was all hype. A few shining moments. But nothing that really got me into him.

Crap on a stick. 2 moves, and the only reason that seemed scary and legit was because back in WCW, he would hit both of them, one after the other, and get the pinfall.

I know this, I'm a huge goldberg mark. He had submissions, Suplexes, and Slams. It's just he didn't showcase them all in one match.

I thought he never got the respect he deserved from the IWC.
See lines like "He only did two moves" and other such comments.
Was he a master technician? No.
But he could get a crowd behind him no matter where he went. And if one were to dispute that any one could, with his push, look at the WWE Steiner run.
Or even Lashley.

I loved his match with Steiner at Fall Brawl 2000 (even with the Russo run-in).

I think Bill Goldberg as a wrestler was underrated, people don't give him enough credit, because when he needed to he had a good technical game, but could ground and pound with the best of them.

He had a kick. A mule kick. A mule kick he couldn't control. A mule kick he couldn't control that ended the career of the greatest wrestler of all time.

He did have that amongst other moves, but to most internet fans they'll bypass all that and go for the "he only has 2 moves" comment. I thought he was great.

Billy Robinson's career was pretty much over by that point, and I don't think he ever faced Goldberg... Goldberg, who was a perfectly fine professional wrestler.

Goldberg had the same feel to him as the ultimate warrior and hulk hogan. Thery were real life super hero's. Hogan always came back what ever you did, and Goldberg and warrior? They would run you over like a train. But Goldberg is one of the best power wrestlers ever, he was so gashdarned strong that he could throw people around and it looked like a real fight. He could slam/throw people in every direction and in every way. Look at this match www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOj9zWrmnmY&feature=relatedhe just throws him around... great fun His biggest downside was..... he was one dimensional. No one was his equal, so how can you book a main event with someone who would wreck\crush\destroy everyone under two minutes?

I thought Goldberg got better and better with time. Back-flips, gorilla-to-powerslam, rolling leglocks, mule kicks...some of the mainstay in his arsenal. In kayfabe, him destroying the JTTS on Thunder in two moves makes sense - if Goldberg is so tough, why would he need to use a lot of moves to demolish a mid-carder?
But he had fantastic fueds with the Flock, and awesome matches with Perry Saturn and Raven. But let me guess, the IWC says he was carried in those matches because the other two have "workrate".
He had an amazing match with DDP, and good matches with Curt Hennig and Scott Hall. (OH NOES~! HE WUZ CARIED!!!!!!!)

He was okay. I would neither turn off his matches or run to see them.
The Jackhammer on The Giant was still one of the most impressive things I've ever seen in the ring.

I recall reading a rumor once that Goldberg rules the ring. Can anyone verify this?

He was really good in the beginning. I loved his submission moves, but the problem was WCW never let him cool off a tad bit before pushing him. He had almost like a rockstar-esque vibes where he had everything given to him, he was on top, and then to was nowhere else to go but down or remain stagant (sp?).
Still kinda surprised no body does the jackhammer nowadays
