From Mike Johnson -
WWE will be releasing a Ted DiBiase autobiography on 6/8/08. The promotional synopsis for the book reads, "A child raised around the wrestling ring, Ted's stepfather is the well remembered "Iron Mike" DiBiase, who died in the ring while his son was watching. Convinced by his father's friends that he could make it in wrestling, Ted dropped out of college and started wrestling in Texas. After years of traveling the southern independent wrestling circuit, he was noticed by the WWE. They created the Million Dollar Man character and provided him with the funds to travel first class and spend money freely. DiBiase was one of the most colorful heels of the eighties, obsessed with capturing the world championship. Side lined by a neck injury, DiBiase started a second wrestling career as a manager. He managed some of the biggest starts: Andre the Giant, Bam Bam Bigelow, King Kong Bundy and, a very green wrestler, the Ringmaster (who would be later known as Stone Cold Steve Austin). Only recently ending his wrestling career with the WWE, Ted has seen the biggest stars, rise and fall. This is the inside glimpse of three decades inside and behind the ring." The synopsis referring to Steve Austin as green during that period of his career, when the reality is he had been wrestling in prominent roles for WCW, ECW and World Class, is pricesless. DiBiase's book will be co-authored by Tom Caiazzo, who worked on "Dr. Death" Steve Williams' book earlier this year. In 1998, DiBiase released a book titled "Everybody Has A Price" which went into a spiritual awakening he underwent towards the end of his in-ring wrestling career.
