On the topic of Johnny Rodz, I think it is because he trained many people.
Also, title reigns should not count. In today's world, everybody has held a world title of some sorts, before it gets passed on to the next guy and eventually back to that person.

I guess if theres a record for a how long a guy can hang around the bottom of a company without being fired for years then he might be inducted.
"HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW!"
Not in the hall of fame. Thats for sure.

If it were a truly prestigious Hall of Fame, then no. However, it's not a prestigious HOF, so he could get in based on some of the midcarders who've gotten in in the last few years. He's not one I would rush to induct.

Crash Holly deserves to be in the HOF more than Hardcore.

Holly has been with the company for more than 13 years. And done barely anything of note all that time.

If Tito Santana was inducted, Hardcore Holly should be also. End of discussion No, because Tito had a bigger career then Holly has EVER had and people actually, you know, LIKED Santana in the ring. But lets break it down career wise. Santana had wrestled for multiple companies for 20 years and has held multiple titles, including his two IC titles and his two Tag team titles (1 with Ivan Putski and 1 with Rick Martel) in the WWF. Now lets check out Holly. Lets see, he has wrestled for half the times and has had half the title reigns as Santana. My opinion Holly hasn't done anything to deserve a spot in the HoF. Sure Santana hasn't done allot like others have but hell, he deserved his spot more then Hardcore Holly ever will IMO. Bullcrap. Tito won LESS matches in his last few years in the company then Hardcore has won since his comeback in ECW last year. Holly held the tag team titles with Crash during the hottest time for tag teams in years during one of the hottest period in wrestling. He also held the ic title and is a former tag team champ with the 1-2-3 Kid. He was one of the reasons the Hardcore title became hot for the period it did. The man is not bad in the ring at all and is always over. You may not like him but you're not going to win the argument by comparing him to a hall of famer that didn't win a match for 5 years. Did Tito ever Headline one of the Big Three PPV'S for the World title? No, he didnt.... Hardcore did(vs Brock Royal Rumble). Whether he was beaten or not, that means the man was over. No one can take that away from him and if Tito is in Hall of Fame, so should Holly. Holly has been around longer, has held more titles, been over for a very good amount of the time he's been around, and has over the last 8 or 9 years has never been a complete jobber, just like Tito was to wards the last few years of his career.

Are we talking about Bob Holly or "Bob Holly" here? I would like to see "Bob Holly" get SOMETHING just because of his contributions to the business before all of the terrible things occurred. I know it won't be in WWE, but I feel somewhere he should be acknowledged for all the good things he's done...even though they are outweighed by his last actions on this planet.

Eventually. If Tony Garea and Johnny Rodz can get in, so can Sparky. Just not yet. There's guys who've main evented multiple Wrestlemania's who haven't even been inducted yet. He can wait in line. I can hear the voice over now. After debuting as Bob Sparky Plugg Holly, he became Hardcore Holly. He was then injured for about 8 years due to a broken arm suffered at the hands of a former WWE Superstar who no one remembers. Holly: I believe the guy who broke my arm was named Kirk something. Anyway, he wasn't very good and was gone very quickly. The fans don't remember him. After returning from injury, Holly went on to do nothing. Hardcore Holly is a true legend in our sport. Don't forget another former WWE superstar who no one remembers also broke his neck. And in another match with another former WWE superstar who some backstage vaguely remember, but most don't, he slashed his back on a table. That's how tough Holly is. You think all of them disappearing is a coincidence?

Especially when most of those title reigns were the WWE Hardcore title which was little more than a prop for Mick Foley's character.

Sorry to burst your bubble bud. oww April 1995 - Wrestling Challenge: Bob Holly defeated Jeff Jarrett to win the Intercontinental Title.. ~~~However, Jarrett's foot was on the rope during the 3 count, and the IC title was declared vacant! ~~~Jeff Jarrett defeated Bob Holly in the rematch to recapture the Intercontinental championship.. He is a former ic champ, albeit, not for very long...

I wouldn't consider that a title reign personally.

As big a hardcore holly fan as I am I don't think i'd put him in there.
i know there's the Tito arguement, but Tito actually main evented cards when he was IC champ.
Holly's one of those guys who will be remembered, and he'll always be over. But he's not a bonafide main eventer. Sorta like how I see Owen Hart and Viscera.
Unlike HBK, Chris Jericho, Booker T, or Kurt Angle he's not really had a career that a lot dream to have.

Wouldn't he have to be a legend to be in the Hall of Fame, as opposed to what he is, which is Bob Holly?

Made up honorific distinction so anyone can get in, there's no real criteria, so sure. Absolutely.
