There has been a lot of talk about Flair retiring with the title belt or main eventing Wrestlemania. However the best way for Flair to retire is to put over a younger star like Kennedy.
Here is how I think it should build up. They should announce Flair vs. Dusty Rhodes in a steel cage match on an upcoming Raw. However Dusty is taken out before the beginning of the match and is unable to compete. Cody Rhodes decides to fight for his dad's honor and decides to take up the challenge. When Flair's music hits, Kennedy comes out with full Flair gear along with a fake NWA belt and copies all his mannerisms (it turns out he's the one who took out Dusty). As the match begins, Kennedy oversells all of Cody's offense (back elbow, back body drop, chops, getting trunks pulled down etc.) to make Flair look bad but finally makes Cody tap out to the figure four. Then Kennedy would revert back to his regular persona and claim he is better than Flair ever was in his prime. Kennedy would then challenge all of Flair's former rivals (those still able to compete) in the following weeks.
This will lead to a tag match at a PPV where the members of the four horseman would allign themselves with Kennedy forcing Flair to tag with Cody and a couple other wrestlers. Kennedy will pretend to be old school Flair in the match. The real Flair eventually wins when the horsemen turn on Kennedy. Flair can then say he is the best at doing what he does.
At Wrestlemania, have Flair cleanly lose to Kennedy in a grueling match and then have all his rivals and friends come to the stage to pay their respects. I think it's a pretty interesting angle and if Kennedy can play Flair as well as Edge did in that promo awhile back, it can be a lot of fun to watch.
