One of the recurring criticisms about any Vince vs. feud is that they're all a rehash of Vince vs. Austin. For the most part, that's because of Vince's character. He's always the evil boss, using his power and influence to wear down the plucky upstart guy, until eventually that plucky upstart guy gets a match with Vince at a PPV and wins. Or, the feuds are against an equal authority figure, such as Vince vs. Shane or Vince vs. Flair. Those are a bit more interesting, but still they're almost always the same. So, what I'm wondering is: could Vince have an original feud with someone? One where he's not going through the motions of evil boss? Who do you think he could pull it off with? What would the feud entail?

Vince/Trump was a bit original - millionaire vs. millionaire, some sense of authority figure was there I guess but Trump's was more of an outsider rich guy than a CEO boss.
Part of the problem, too, is that any McMahon family feud is an authority vs. authority feud, since the family runs and owns the company. If it wasn't that way, then maybe father vs. son - whereas son doesn't run or even own part of the company - would be something more original. Alas, it is not.
A purely comedic feud is the only thing I could think of that would be something original/different for Vince to be part of.

What if he somehow lost all his money, but due to some weird contract thing that states "since you've competed in so many matches, you're actually a contracted wrestler" So he is forced to wrestle to support himself. Fued ends in him winning a match where he gets his money back or something.

Yes, he's having it with Findlay right now. Only Austin has ever gotten away with talking to Vince like Findlay does, and Vince still "likes" Findlay. This is totally different from every fued Vince has ever had before.

Off the top of my head, one thing that might be interesting, if they're OK with bringing Shane back, might be to have an angle with Shane falling for a gold digger "diva," and having Vince trying to step in and convince his love-blinded son that he's making a mistake. Could bring in either Steph or Linda to side with the gold digger also.

Nobody it's pretty much all been done to death. No matter how much they try to say otherwise the cat's out of the bag and everyone knows Vince owns it all so any feud he has with anyone will always be authority figure vs. wrestler. That's the problem is some characters will always be pigeon holed into a certain role. Just like how Rey Mysterio Jr. will never be able to seriously play a heel in a million years

Well, I liked the Triple H/McMahon feud of late '99 because it was slightly different. Vince as a sympathetic face, trying to protect his family versus HHH, the renegade heel leader of DX trying to get to the top of the WWF by any means necessary.
Looking back on it, it was good stuff.

it would be cool if it was discovered that vince has a brain tumour and has surgery to get rid of it, he comes back all nice. but starts having flashbacks of what he used to be like and tries to repent for his past actions. (yes i ripped off neighbours)

Vince gets hit on the head, hard. Suddenly, he thinks he's an announcer again, and that it's 1987 or so. Every once in a while, though, he slips back into "Evil Vince" mode and while calling a match says something along the lines of "BAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK BODY DROP by that son of a bitch Bobby Lashley! I mean, um ... where did that come from? Lashley is a fierce competitor who always gives 100% in the ring...." Lashley, upset at being called a son of a bitch, calls Vince a bathturd version f his dad's uncle, gives Vince the Googly Eyes of DOOOOOM!, and proceeds to beat down Announcer Vince, while Heel Maniac Evil Boss Vince is nowhere to be seen. Vince goes crazy, shaves his own head while laughing hysterically, and proceeds to get his old ass handed to him by a now-heel Lashley. Or else, since everyone compares him to Mr. Burns anyway, they can switch it up a bit and go with another Matt Groening cartoon and make Vince a real-life version of Professor Farnsworth from Futurama. Don't ask me how that would work, but I'd mark.

What would the feud entail? In the first e-fed I was in, I didn't line up a feud quickly enough so I was talking around to the owner about what to do and we ended up coming up with a really good owner vs. talent feud that spanned two months. The kicker was, the owner was face and my guy was a heel. So basically, the heel wrestler felt screwed with opportunities and stuff so he wanted out of his contract to go elsewhere. The face owner disagreed with the opportunities stuff and considered the wrestler too much of an asset. I thought it worked pretty well and the feedback from other talent was good. I think if done right in the 'E with the brand split (i.e. the other two GMs trying to sign the talent), it could definitely be a solid and interesting angle and feud.

Wrestler A sits down to eat huge submarine sandwich backstage (bonus points if said wrestler is a fat guy). Right as he is about to take a bite Wrestler B tells him he has a phone call but doesn't know who it is. Wrestler A gets up and goes over to the phone but finds there is no one on the line. He then returns to where he had his sandwich to find nothing but a few crumbs left. Clearly someone has eaten his sandwich. Wrestler A then goes into a rage knocking over the table and trashing the place. HUGE feud results between Wrestler A and Wrestler B (Wrestler A accuses B of eating sandwich but B denies it). A month later after Wrestler A has defeated Wrestler B in a PPV match it is revealed by a mysterious shadowy figure on the titantron that the sandwich still exists but is being held at an undisclosed location. Wrestler A demands to know who the shadowy figure is and where the sandwich is being held. Heel commentator points out that the sandwich would have to be stale and moldy by now. Wrestler A goes on new rampage trying to ascertain the identity of the shadowy figure. That's all i got for now. Of course the shadowy figure would have to be either Ric Flair or Vince McMahon.

I liked one idea I read around here, I'll expand on it. Forgot whoever had it originally. Vince returns to crazy Vince and tries to bring the entire might of the WWE down on some random lower carder like Val Venis or Stevie Richards for no reason whatsoever. Let's go with Stevie. It'd be a way to get Stevie over big IMO. Vince randomly decides one day that Stevie Richards must pay. Stevie just finishes a jobbing match like usual, then Vince comes out and decides to put him in a match with Big Daddy V that same night for no reason. Stevie gets squashed. Next week, Stevie approaches Vince and tries to ask what the hell did he do to deserve that. For this, he has to fight Mark Henry. Stevie loses again, and keeps pondering what he did to deserve this. He tries to bring Vince chocolates and a card with "Whatever I did to piss you off I'm sorry". This infuriates Vince so much Stevie has to fight the Great Khali. Stevie loses. Next week Stevie gets in Vinces face and calmly asks again what the hell did he do to deserve this. Vince gets angry again, despite Stevie being completely respectful. He's about to go on and announce yet another horrible match for Stevie to be in....and Stevie snaps and starts beating the shit out of Vince screaming a combination of "WHY!?!" "YOU WANT A REASON TO TORTURE ME FOR NO REASON!? NOW YOU HAVE IT!!!" In an ideal world, Stevie would get a huge pop for beating the shit out of crazy Vince. You can go on normal Vince fued from here, and maybe have Stevie beat Vince in the usual street fight. Ultimately ends up the same, but it's an original start. Too bad we won't get crazy Vince again.

I would mark for a Scrooge McDuck version of McMahon who is convinced everyone is out for his fortune and irrationally knocks down anything he perceives as a threat to it.
