He was originally billed as a representative of Japan from the Polynesian Islands, later they just said he was from Japan. I don't recall if they reverted back after he became a face.
These are a few things I believe Yoko gets mentioned for on the forums. Lex Luger slamming him, his involvement in the Undertaker being put in a casket/going on vacation angle, his quick title loss to Hogan and then subsequent defeat of Hulkamania, and his appearance in the main event of the Heroes of Wrestling PPV. Oh, and maybe for that home video vignette where he showed how much sushi he ate evey day, and he fed someone, I believe Gene Okerlund, some extremely hot wasabi mustard then laughed at him.

In retrospect, he was pretty damn good for a near 600 lb. wrestler. He had agility. He could wrestle a 10-20 min. match if paced right. He knew how to sell (his selling of the Undertaker's mind games was phenomenal) and knew how to use his size to get a reaction. Too bad he couldn't keep his weight under control.

Here's one where they announce him as from the Polynesian Islands representing Japan, but I still could have swore at some point they just said he was from Japan. Maybe it was just Mr. Fuji being there with the flag all the time confusing my adolescent memories. youtube.com/watch?v=RgKTimUOQ5Y

Also, if the legdrop didn't kill you, Hulkamania, the Banzai drop would.

All I'll say is Stan "The Man" Stasiak. Beat me to it! I wrote the last Stan the Man thread I saw here about 2 years ago. The 1 week wonder! But to the point, yes, Yoko was the man. To roughly quote Vince Russo, "He was a great big man who was still capable of moving like a gazelle...a very big gazelle." I mark for BONZAI!
