They should just have a block of cement sitting there in the ring.. Ladies and gentlemen, PAUL BEARER! I'd love to see that. And then they could interview the cement block for 15 minutes.

No. He at least gave us a legitimate reason as to why he cannot appear. So working on and publicising several films isn't a legitimate reason to miss a wrestling event? Gotta make a note of that somewhere.... He never released a statement saying he was doing anything, who knows what he's doing. Actors aren't acting nonstop, not to say that he isn't, we just don't know. EDIT: No. He at least gave us a legitimate reason as to why he cannot appear. I remember they explained on WWE.com that Bearer was somehow saved after the PPV went off the air. Well, in the case of the Rock he doesn't have to explain what he does to anyone. If he doesn't want to show up, it's his choice. It's like people actually want him to ask permission if he could take off from a show, even though he's not been contractually obligated to WWE for years. I'm not offended by it or think I am owed an explanation as to why he's not going to appear, I just think it would be nice for him to release a quick statement is all. I mean, it is kind of a big deal considering how many other people are going to show and for the fact that he is ADVERTISED (look up top) to appear.

If the initial newz reports were true and he isn't appearing (although they've flip-flopped on it), do you think he was really asked to be put in the banner for the show?

Perhaps it would be nice, but still it's not necessary. I never saw that as an advertisement, it's misleading to some who go online but WWE never went on their website or TV show and said that the Rock was going to be at Raw on Monday.

If Paul Bearer coming back would have meant a giant bolt of lightning splitting open a slab of concrete, I'm glad he declined

Isn't he supposed to be dead in the WWE anyways? maybe if they had him come to Raw with the cement still all over his legs and arms. That'd be hilarious. "Undertaker........That wasn't cool. You could have killed me, ya know!"

I was actually on hiatus from wrestling when the cement thing happened. I just happened to be flipping through the channels one night and saw it. Can someone tell me what the hell that angle was?

I don't think anybody knew, really. Something to do with Heyman (?) having a problem with Undertaker. Undertaker had a 'Concrete Crypt' match against both Dudleys at the 2004 Great American Bash. If Undertaker lost, Bearer would be "killed" by cement. I think Undertaker won, but then just "killed" Bearer himself.

Two things to remember:
1. To Percy Pringle III, Kayfabe is alive. Would it make sense for his character to appear again if he's presumably dead/would have major beef with the Undertaker?
2. To Percy Pringle III, Kayfabe is alive. Would it make sense for him, if he was to appear, to announce his return? Wouldn't he want the old rules of Kayfabe surprise to maintain intact?

They should have this guy wandering round backstage, saying nothing but walking into everything:
