We know the match is coming.
Will they use this hype and just give him the title right away, or stretch it out a bit and try to sell more tickets? Or will he not win it at all and is just going to be around for shits and giggles?

Considering the mild reactions Jericho is getting and the rumours of a Jericho-JBL feud, I say "not a chance"

Jericho will win at the Rumble, not Armageddon. Too bad Jericho won't be wrestling for the title then as it will be Orton...oops I mean whoever wins Jericho/Orton against the winner of Hardy/HHH.

Hopefully.
Orton is so boring it isn't funny. I don't know how it's possible for one man to be so damn boring but he is. They need to breathe some fresh air into the division.

Hopefully. Orton is so boring it isn't funny. I don't know how it's possible for one man to be so damn boring but he is. They need to breathe some fresh air into the division. I find Orton boring as well, but I don't think they're going to do Trips/Jericho or Trips/Hardy so soon. It's clear they want Orton to still be champ, so it'll be Orton/Trips at the Rumble while Jericho takes a backseat.

Of course not. HHH is looking for a new belt to go with his pants.

Probably not, but I could expect him to get a win eventually down the road.

They've gotten themselves in a hole. It'll make absolutely no sense if Chris wins the belt this quick, but if Randy pins him this early it'll make even less sense. Convoluted DQ or some such on the way.

Someone from Jericho's past will interfere and cost him most likely.

Another example of booking not making sense.
Why the crap does Triple H need another title run? His whole career is based around having a crapload of title runs and that's it.
If they were smart they would put it on Jericho and have him feud with Hardy/Kennedy or whoever.
I dont buy Randy Orton as champ. The guy is just tall and basically has a finishing move and that's it. Randy is just a wrestler with a finishing move called the RKO and the reputation of beating up old people. To hell with Randy Orton. He's already been World Heavyweight Champion why does he need another world title? The fans dont give two craps about him. I know I dont.
Now if Jericho was the top guy he could finally have the main event spot and have entertaining feuds with younger guys.Booker T hit Austin with the belt and that's why Jericho won.. so it's basically a fluke win. I dont think people bought that he beat both the Rock and Austin cleanly. So Jericho still needs that defining world title win and have a long reign. I hate HHH so much because he can't get over the fact that no one cares about "THE GAME" anymore.

jericho/JBL?! that would put MCMG Goo to shame. but i still want Jericho to beat Orton, the most boring "superstar" i have ever seen.

No, but he should, because Orton doesn't do anything as a heel that HHH or Edge can do better. Orton just isn't that interesting.

I think from an in ring perspective Orton has performed well, his matches with HHH and HBK have all been great and he's turned into one of the best sellers in the business. Say what you want about his promos and whatnot, but you're usually guaranteed a decent in ring performance from him.
Jericho, on the other hand? He's probably still got his fair share of ring rust if the santino match is anything to go by, and I wouldn't like a champ who's only talent is cutting watered down promos that were better done 3 years ago.
I know Orton doesn't have much to say on the mic, but Jericho doesn't really either if you think about his recent mic work. I've been bored by his promos lately. I don't particularly like Randy's promos either, but at least he isn't built as being some amazing talker.

Not a chance, and he won't be winning it at the Rumble either. Orton's going to be champ until at least Wrestlemania and possibly until Cena returns.
I don't find Orton boring at all, I find him quite awesome. He has a certain charisma nailed on to the part he plays. Just because he isn't a larger than life personality like Rock of HBK it doesn't make him bornig. He isn't meant to be extravagant and crowd pleasing, he is meant to be a cold, calculating, unremorseful legend killer, and he plays it to a tee. Well worth the title run IMO.
I see them doing a 4 way at WM involving Orton, HHH, Y2J and HBK. I can possibly see a change there, but not this soon, and I really doubt it will be for Jericho.
