So when Stone Cold came out last night, I figured no Bret Hart....
...but....
Was anyone about to go nuts when Stone Cold said, "The greatest RAW superstar isn't in this ring."
I thought for sure Bret Hart was coming through the curtain. I don't think that he is necesarily the top superstar in RAW history, but I figured there must have been some sort of agreement.

Actually, I was thinking of 'The Rock' when the greatest superstar was not in that ring.

For a minute, I did let myself think the same thing.... even though I knew it wasn't going to happen. Although, I don't even think Bret Hart would've gotten a big pop from that crowd last night.... awful!

When he first said that, I thought someone like Hart or the Rock might come out...then a second or two later I was hoping he wasn't going to say "the fans". Naturally he said the fans. =P

When I noticed that they were selling classic Bret Hart t-shirts at the event, I thought for sure he would show up.

I think we all did, but I'm okay that it didn't happen. Stone Cold capped it off well enough. A C- show and that was good enough.

No, I never thought that it would be Bret Hart because all of Raw's superstars are out of the ring so it could have been any one of them.

bret hart did enough on that mcmahon tribute show, give the man a break, he suffered a stroke and is retired from wrestling.

I lost hope when Stone Cold came out, I knew he was going to end the show with a "beer bash". I'm actually kinda glad Bret didn't show up. Since, there's been so much negativity on this board, lately. You would have 10 threads on this board saying how Bret was a hypocrite and how he went back on his own word.

Since when has Stone Cold kissed up to the fans? That kinda defeats the purpose of his character don't you think?

Roomate and I were saying "If ya SmeLLLLLLLLLLLLLL" randomly, so naturally we thought the rock was coming.

If Bret's going to come back for one WWE show just to say "thanks", it'll be in Calgary (or maybe Toronto).

Why would he be the greatest in Raw history? Everyone was watching Nitro when he was in the main event.

If Bret's going to come back for one WWE show just to say "thanks", it'll be in Calgary (or maybe Toronto). Much like dropping the title, he has to do everything in Canada eh?

Only watched the first hour of the show - long enough to see Bastian Booger and Molly Holly. I marked and stopped watching. I would have been irritated if I waited through the remaining two hours to hear, "The Fans". Ugh.

He'd get a mega-pop. It would've been terrible to have him show up on RAW last night and then have the fans sit on their hands because they don't know who he is.

Since when has Stone Cold kissed up to the fans? That kinda defeats the purpose of his character don't you think? Since about 99 when he stopped being so entertainingly angry. But you can't blame him, hard to be angry and bitter when you're on top of hte world and making millions of dollars.
