I think it was in late 97, during one of the WWF int'l tours where they used ECW talent (and WWF midcarders not on the tour) to bulk up the show...

1997 would be the year I'd say was the last time they used the Manhattan Center. The ECW/WWF show was in February of that year was the last one that I can remember off the top of my head. I'm sure they had other shows there after.
Would have been kinda cool if they could have done the show there last night instead of wherever the hell they were.

Its too small to hold Raw. I think they should have used the Garden myself, show the progress from the Manhatten Center to the most famous arena in the world.

i liked the Manhatten Center, it had its own special feeling. I wouldnt mind seeing them go back to the Manhatten Center for one show or something.

If it was the ECW Raw, then it was feb 26 1997. I was at that show, it was amazing.

Not only did ECW invade, but the Legion of Doom returned that night as well.

I know that the Hammerstein Ballroom is located in the Manhattan Center. Were the early episodes of RAW taped in the Hammerstein? Or were they in another part of the building?

yeah when watching the ecw dvd, I could have sworn that the Hammerstein ballroom was the manhattan center. I didn't know the Manhattan center was big enough to have seperate "ballrooms".

They need them since ECW had Balls Mahoney... and he always filled his ballroom, the events were never small... the social pages said he had the biggest balls of all!
