Why is everyone going on like Nitro sucked? I loved Nitro, most of the time anyway. The three hours guaranteed a lot of exhibition matches with no story, like the lucha matches, tag matches, and cruiser action. I never had a problem with it. Of course since this is RAW, three hours would just mean they would replay every segment six times instead of the three times they do now. Nitro's 3 hours didn't suck, and you're right....it gave the mid-card more time and significance...and promos! And sadly, you might be right about RAW as well.

Well, 3 hours theoratically is a good thing for RAW.
The question is, will they wisely spend that time for promos, matches, build up feuds, etc.?
Nah.

That gimmick you speak of for TNA was not a gimmick. They had weekly PPVs at 10 dollars a piece as they're only way of getting on TV. See its not that easy for a new wrasslin promotion tog et a TV deal. Absolutely true, but its annoying when you spend $10 and have a promised "HUGE announcement," only for Vince Russo come out and say that he'll reveal it NEXT week (and $10 later). You know?

well yeah that's my point would you rather pay say $20-$30 for the filler ppvs and $40 for the good ones and possibly up to $50 for WM and realize that nothing decent will happen in the cheaper ones other that story and status quo reinforcement or pay an even 40 and then 60+ for WM and feel cheated when no titles change hands? Remember the old IN YOUR HOUSE PPVs? They were of the idea that they weren't the serious PPVs (Wrestlemania, SummerSlam, etc.) but instead "interim" PPVs that were cheaper and progressed the storyline.

There are too many PPVs anyway but there has to be some kind of payoff for them to be worth paying for. They shouldn't used just for advancing something cause that's a ripoff. If they wanna sell story development they should do it for cheaper than they do. Absolutely. Its like when TNA started out with that retarded weekly PPV gimmick. At this rate, thats what WWE PPVs are these days: The weekly PPVs of TNA, which simply just to advance through the motions.

Does there really need to be a title defense at every ppv? Seriously we, the fans, realize that the intermediate/supplimental ppvs (Taboo Tuesday, Vengeance, No Mercy, GAB (at times), and others) have little to no chance of any major title changes. Why not use these lesser ppvs for actual good storytelling and flesh out the mid-card or a feud rather than bait and switch with pointless title defenses that the outcome is more-or-less given. or I dunno...have something BIG happen and hae someone win a title at one of the ppvs besides the big 4 or 5 Yeah or better yet, less PPV events or I don't know. Build-up to these PPV fights would be nice for once.

Chris should work at Subway That's it. It's brilliant. Cena walks into a subway and orders. he realizes its a down and out jericho in the back and starts with i thought you were at McDonalds. He just keeps going as jericho does a slow burn. Cena won't quit. he just keeps raggin and taunting him. "u used to be somebody""now you can toss my salad" and on and on. As jericho just takes it close to tears. As cena turns and leave he says "and i sold more records than Fozzy ever will" Jericho leaps the counter and punds the bejesus out of Cena. Does a lionsault of a table. Beats him like Austin beat booker in the piggly wiggly. the managers trying to pull him off cenas beaten corpse. Jericho rips off his uniform and storms out. The next week on Raw he storms into Coach's office and slams coach into the wall. Starts screaming. Takes a contract out of his pocket demanding a title match. Jericho's back. It would win the WON and PWI Promo of the year!

Why? I mean, who the f*** calls a fast food joint? "yea yea deliver some cheezburgahs up here!" Manager, people calling in to find out their hours if they forgot to check the schedule, calling in late or sick, and complaints, sometimes. We had a lot of calls on my night shift because one of the managers was a drug dealer, apparently. "Wow man, these fries are f****** good. What sald did you put on them?"

You know what made it slightly hard to watch? NO ONE WOULD PICK UP THAT DAMN PHONE!!!!!!! Trust me, that's what it's really like in fast food. When I worked in Whataburger, that was a daily occurrence. Why? I mean, who the f*** calls a fast food joint? "yea yea deliver some cheezburgahs up here!"

I saw that clip of him working at a McDonalds for a FOX TV gig.
"Yeah, I've hit on some hard times. You like cheeseburgers with that?"
And they bought it. Amazing.

Well, Randy Orton would work like "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Ordnoff did for Jed Shaffer's REWRITING THE BOOK column.
That is, he would sort of try to split his competition by making them fight each other out instead of HIM.
SummerSlam: Orton/Cena/Lashley for the belt, if Orton had won at VENGEANCE.

My god, the voice of reason. Say what you will about his intentions behind this if you have your doubts (and I'm sure some will), but I agree with what was just said. I also agree with Trips, in that I've been saying it for months. And you're right.

I'm shocked. That also means....this crazy guy RRA might know something after all, besides movies and midget porn.

I didn't stop watching because of Cena the man, just his push. It seems like he's a nice guy, he's just being pushed like Hogan mark 2 sans the mainstream interest. Thats the problem. But WWE won't change until the merchandising sales dip....

Well, I'll give you Hogan and Sid. Piper was good when it came to psychology...but that's also unfair given Cena's booked to be Superman. Good point. In matches where they let him go with the flow, like at One Night Stand when he knew to play heel to RVD, he shows he's good at what he does when they let him be. I absolutely hated Cena like a brainless IWCer, until ONS '06. Really, I started to respect Cena for what he is when he played greatly with the absolutely hostile crowd. Its not like Botchista who needs a hot crowd to work with. Point is, Don't blame Cena for Superman Cena. Blame WWE.

But really, theslickness makes a very valid point.
Then again, I think my problem in general is that I'm stuck with the NWA mindset of booking, with the dominant heels, and the heroes' wins meaning much much more.
