Let Cena have to fight a villain who's smarter, possibly even BETTER, and have Cena fight to get his belt back.. Edge says hello. And Edge says, "I hated my 30 day reigns!"

He should do more movies where he no-sells explosions. Actually, I used to be a fan of Cena's, like in 2004, when I started watching wrestling again. Then it got old. The constant overcoming of odds. The never losing clean. Then he forgot to sell the knee injury at Mania after HBK made him look like a big dumb animal. Compare Cena in 2005 to Cena in 2007. In 2005, he was loved. The fans were behind him, Cena played himself well as the verbal-sparring street fighter from New England. I think the problem is that people are tired of it by 2007. Let Cena have to fight a villain who's smarter, possibly even BETTER, and have Cena fight to get his belt back....maybe even the villain has a stable of goons to keep Cena from winning. Again, thats why Orton should have won at VENGEANCE. Imagine that match where it seemed where either Cena retained or Lashley wins the belt....only for Orton to deliver the RKO out of literally NO WHERE. Then Orton, the new champion, gathers up people that have bad blood with Cena, or at least benefit from "The Marine" being chain gang locked from the title picture....like King Booker, Ummaga, whatever.

Matt Hardy. Matt's a better mat wrestler, seller, and more rounded across the board in physical attributes. Besides, can Jeff hardy say he can slap a tomato? Exactly. Plus....to be honest, I think you can make him more sellable as a main event player than Jeff. Though I have to say, I loved Jeff Hardy's IC title run. So who knows.

Do you have any proof or knowledge that the man has gone off the wagon again since he came back to the WWE? That said, he was a drug monkey. Jesus... No, I don't have any proof besides that fact that fingerpaints have spilled all over him again. OK, that made me laugh with the "fingepaints". Good one man. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) ;D

Matt Hardy has one thing about Jeff Hardy. Matt can work himself as one that the people can root behind as an "everyday guy" that went from jumping around a trampoline to being a wrestling flying star. Sort of like if Tommy Dreamer had been a high-flyer. Maybe, I don't know. I need to quit drugs. Jeff needs to quit doing drugs. You know what Triple Threat PPV Main Event I would have loved to see?
Bret/Owen/Davey Smith - WWF Championship

From what I know of the man, I don't like him as a person.
But he's a hell of a worker. I mean, having to work to finish two matches decently after blowing out his quad TWICE...on TV!
That said, Triple H rocked as a heel....with Sledgie at his side.

Regal doesn't need to do much to remind us he's badass. Just give him one match, and a soon to be batter opponent. Ever see his match with Paul London? By the end of it, you want the ref to just ring the bell. Still, getting in Santino's face would be great to see. You might be right. Just bring back the Brass Knuckles. So simple, so awesome, so old school.

Seems WWE is hinting at that, with Regal's Raw debut being him eyeing Maria, and refusing to shake Santino's hand. Oh yeah, but it needed more elaboration. Not everyone at home remembers Regal being the IC champion. Sadly, many folks only remember him as the British guy with Eugene the Retard. Its like that proposal I typed out at another thread. Have Santino defend his belt on RAW, with Regal as Special Guest Analyst because of his "IC Championship experience" and basically he slams Santino as a greenhorn meatball hack who's title victory makes the belt look bad, after guys like Regal and others fought YEARS to win the belt. Its a start at least....with the ruthless, more experienced Regal (and the brass knuckles return dammit!) beating Santino, but Santino making a rebound.... Or not. Where's Swarm to call me a smark?

Well, European belt mattered when there were which belts only in the company? WWF Championship IC European Tag Team Lightweight Of course to be honest, 5 belts at the maximum is always I figured should be the default max # of titles for a promotion, but thats just me. Normally, I'd agree, but the other brands need SOMETHING. We need to put the IC belt on someone who actually is on TV. Regal needs it back. Hell yeah son. BOOK IT!

Wasn't the European title created simply for Davey Boy Smith to tour Europe and own that market?
Thing is, would have loved for a real WWE belt be created for non-American wrestlers....with Finlay, Regal, Santino, and others duking it out.

Styles by a mile. He always rocked with it. I miss that old Styles....I really do... I do too...it really makes me sad seeing what hes become. Why wont they just let joey be joey At this point, I think Joey is content with the decent pay and employment. But yeah, I miss his outright ENERGY that sometimes drove average ECW matches into must watch TV. Remember when an announcer seriously factored whatever watch this week's episode or not? Maybe a solution, at least a dream to me, would be Styles/JBL. Imagine that instead of Cole's stupid s***, you would have Styles, a smark against JBL...a mark. It would open up for adversarial debates and arguments that would be entertaining... Plus, Tazz never impressed me as an announcer.

If he is bitter than he is hiding it well for the fans. Or maybe he isn't bitter.....or was bitter as he once was. I mean, don't forget that he did do that tribute promo weeks ago for RAW.

Yeah Hogan is just as bad. Edit: Actually worse, considering HBK jobbed to Austin when it was needed, whereas with Hogan we have his WCW run...yeah. To the above poster, I'm not trying to turn this into a HBK hate thread. Just making a comparison. I don't even hate HBK. He's definitely one of my favorite performers. I just find it strange that HBK doesn't get as much crap as Bret does most of the time. Considering his history, he's definitely a lot more of a crybaby than Bret. Doesn't change the fact that I enjoy his matches though (as I enjoy Bret's). Well if you meant me, I don't think you were starting a HBK hate thread.

Why does every single Bret topic always turn into "HBK is a Pompous Ass and I Hate Him!"? I don't hate him. I really respect him as a worker....as a person pre-1998, absolutely not. Then again, whats the legacy of Bret Hart that comes into mind immediately? His great matches, or the Screw Job? There you go.

Not talking about the overselling (although you can easily tell that he was trying to make Hogan look like a fool), I'm talking about his interview after the match. I dislike Hogan a lot more than I dislike HBK, but it was still unprofessional. HBK tries to act like Bret was an ass for not wanting to job in Montreal...how hypocritical is that? How many times has Shawn "lost his smile" anytime he was asked to job to someone not in the "kliq?" Michaels was mad because he smarted off at Hart, and somehow Michaels expected Hart to just job to him anyway like everyone else...and Hart sorta told him to screw off. Ever heard the Hogan interview where he too tries to act like Hart was an ass for not jobbing? Hogan b****** about someone refusing to job? Thats comedy. LESSON OF TODAY KIDS: Being nice with other people at the workplace helps you out in the long run.

You know, no one on these boards will disagree with the general perception and agreement that Shawn Michaels in the 1990s before he went into retirement, found God and all that...was the biggest damn jerk in the WWF.
My question is, since his return, has he actually improved as a person backstage, or not?
and as for Hogan/HBK, considering how HBK oversells as much as Ric Flair would do, I think we overinflate that situation.
