I just made this point in another thread. Yeah. It's unfortunate that this tragedy is what finally put the eyes of the world on pro-wrestling. There's no doubt that some people were going to use this opportunity to bash Vince, the WWE, and pro-wrestling in general simply because they finally have a rather large and public platform. Some people have used this to make the story about them and that's pretty inappropriate. Bret (who left on the worst terms of everyone) has been able to avoid that. I know he's considered by some to be the biggest "whiner" in wrestling history. But he's shown some class here.

Never bitter. Even on wrestling with shadows, after it happened he was pissed, punched McMahon then was at peace with it & got a HUGE contract from WCW.

Never bitter. He was angry for a while (and rightfully so), but I think that's passed. However, with all his friends passing away too soon, he might be depressed. I know I would be.

I think he was somewhat bitter, but not any more than anyone else. If all you're ever asked about is Survivor Series '97 and the death of your brother, all you're ever going to answer with is bitter responses. So he was going to come off as more bitter than others. Add to the fact that he'll always be a high profile guy. He's going to be spoken to alot more often than most former wrestlers.

LoL, at first I thought it said: "Do you think Bret Hart is BETTER?"
I thought: "Better than who... oh, does it matter? The answer is YES!" Bret Hart > (insert name here)

I too don't think Bret has been too bitter.
Above all, Bret loves wrestling and regardless of what negative feelings he may have towards certain individuals he was never going to use any platform to denegrade them at the expense of also insulting wrestling too.
The guy is class, in my opinion, always has been always will.

He's not really bitter. If he were I doubt he'd have been willing to work with WWE on the DVD. He still seems to hate Shawn Michaels though.

I don't think Bret was bitter, just angry, like JMA said. I mean, when someone screws you over like Vince did, and then you see your brother plunge to his death because of a stunt that happened because of that same guy, I would get angry, too. Then, after all of that, Bret is one of those that defend the company that screwed him over even after how the 'journalists' have talked about WWE this week.

If I worked for a company for so long and they f***ed me over and killed my brother, I'd be pretty pissed, too.

He seemed bitter right after Montreal but now it seems like he's gotten over it.

Maybe not about Vince and Montreal, but yeah, he's bitter. He was bitter before Vince and Montreal. That's just the kind of person he is.
EDIT: deleted generalized stereotypical flaming. Please refrain from that in the future. - Madison
