Velasquez being made of baby powder is one of the real injustices of this sport. Those idiotic training methods at AKA destroyed his body.

I still think Francis has a good chance of winning this fight, as its been almost 3 years since Valesquez last fought and all he needs is that one punch to connect.

Alex Cacares still exists? Just barely. I wouldn't be surprised if this loss results in him getting his walking papers.

I'm glad Cro Cop got his win back against Roy Nelson but boy does the Bellator heavyweight division suck.

I'll give the movie credit for having a reference to Once Were Warriors.

Wow does Rey look like a 12 year old boy without his mask on.
Also I always assumed that tossing salad was slang for wanking but when I look up its meaning online, all I can think is WTF that makes no bloody sense.

UFC may not be predetermined yet but it's a possibility and I believe some day it will be every bit as much a work as professional wrestling is. There’s at least one Don Frye fight in the ufc that was a work. You're thinking of Don Frye vs Mark Hall at UFC: Ultimate Ultimate 1996. Also Oleg Taktarov vs Anthony Macias was a work.

Yep it was a piece of shit. Hell despite the almost 15 year development time it still somehow felt like a rushed f*** it this will have to do type of release. Okay, but does Duke Nukem 3D hold up now? I wouldn't even mind just plain the third person shooters that came out in the late 90s just because. Its still fun to play but going in you need to remember, its a product of its time and it wasn't made for casuals.

That there have been some fixed MMA matches. I’m not thinking of any match in particular. Just that fighters have been presented with an opportunity to make more money. They would have to sign a NDA before they’d hear the proposal. Then they could accept or decline. The more the higher ups wanted a particular outcome the more money would be offered. Perhaps they didn’t like dealing with a certain fighter or really wanted to push another one. Could be that they put money on a big fight. Maybe they wanted someone to take a dive because they just weren’t marketable to them. Perhaps they wanted to change an outcome so they could make sure they were setting up a bigger money making fight down the line. Could be a lot of reasons but I’m pretty sure it must have happened at some point. I'm curious what fights you think were fixed. The problem with fixed fights is that it's extremely difficult to make it not look fake. The most famous and proven fixed MMA fight I'd say Mark Coleman vs Takada in PRIDE. Even Bas Rutten one commentary was like "something's wrong here". Another highly suspected fix was Ken Shamrock vs Kimbo. Kimbo somehow escaped a rear-naked choke by doing nothing, but lying on the mat and kicking his legs like a child until Shamrock just let go for no reason Any fight that Takada won was fixed. Hell the guy was such a shitty MMA fighter he ended getting KOed in a fight that he was supposed to win. Though honestly I reckon Shamrock vs Kimbo wasn't a work and was instead a really shitty fight between two terrible fighters.

Reading his twitter feed has now turned my brain into mush. It wasn’t like that originally. He used to post stuff about video games and family, then slowly but surely he turned into the unabomber type of nut. I think we can all blame Steve Mazzagatti for that.
