I have the sudden urge to pour myself a giant bowl of Frog Loops cereal and veg out in front of the TV for 3 hours watching this channel. Tell me more of these... "Frog Loops".

It caused Vic to almost say AEW. So excited to see him prove the doubters wrong. Don't be ridiculous, Vic wasn't going to say "AEW". He was going to say "Æon Flux". He obviously confused Ethan Page with Marton Csokas. It makes so much more sense.

Yeah, a ton of cover songs on my part -
Only recently discovered that Tiffany's "I Think We're Alone Now" was a cover of a 60's song by Tommy James and The Shodells.
Todd in the Shadows taught me that Natalie Imbruglia's "Torn" was a cover of an Ednaswap song from only a few years earlier.
On the non-music front, I was shocked when about a decade ago I discovered that there were black and white, Belgian produced, French language Smurfs cartoons from the 1960's. I genuinely thought the franchise started with the 80's Hanna-Barbera cartoon.

I don't see Taz-mania, which is disappointing, but I do see the ALF cartoons and Duck Dodgers, so I'm calling it a win!
By the way, "Popeye and Pals"? Is that the 60's cartoon? The 70's cartoon? Some kind of anthology series like The Popeye Show?

Is there an event comics month this year? Is it delayed or not happening? Looking at his "State of the Wall" post from January, he did have it scheduled for May, so I'm guessing it's delayed. Haven't heard anything about it being canceled. Looking at the schedule he had up in January he's really far behind on a lot of stuff.

Not sure what this is or when it occurred, but here's William Regal wearing a mask, calling himself Hellraiser and pretending to be American -

Jackie Gleason's last film role was 1986's Nothing in Common, alongside Tom Hanks. I've never seen it, but I've seen some places describe the role as "Archie Bunker-like". It's probably the best way to get an idea of what Gleason would have done with the character if he had taken the part.

I tapped out and unsubscribed when they tried to pass off a joke comment from 2016 Ghostbusters as a legitimate paranormal event. Okay, now I'm curious. I don't remember the name of the video or how long ago it was (at least a year, probably longer), but in one of their list videos they talked about "Langville, Montana" as a legitimate urban legend. It isn't. It's a statement made by a government agent in 2016 Ghostbusters (you might remember Kate McKinnon's character being particularly interested in it). It had no presence on the internet or among the paranormal crowd before the movie came out and the stuff afterwards is sparse and thinly detailed. Either MostAmazingTop10 didn't do any research on it at all before throwing it in their video or, more likely, they were desperate to fill the list and figured nobody would notice if they stole a forgotten line from an underperforming movie.

I used to subscribe to a channel called MostAmazingTop10, a site that would put out videos of top ten lists on various supernatural or paranormal or just plain weird topics. I don't really believe most of that stuff, but I find the stories interesting. Plus I really liked their main presenter at the time, Rebecca Felgate. When Rebecca left I decided to stick around, but after awhile the lists just started becoming really repetitive (seriously guys, how man times can you talk about "The Man from Taured"?) which caused me to lose interest in them. I tapped out and unsubscribed when they tried to pass off a joke comment from 2016 Ghostbusters as a legitimate paranormal event. I unsubscribed from that channel for a few reasons. shitty repeated content was part of it (they started doing hours long videos of previous videos poorly spliced together featuring people who had left the channel years ago.), the rapid replacing of presenters where it seemed like they hired and fired people in less than two months but got 7 months worth of videos from them, and the biggest reason was I found out that when they fired presenters their contracts stated that they couldn't work for competitors youtube channels or make "top ten list" content for themselves or anyone else. there has been claims of shitty treatment of presenters while they work at MostAmazingTop10 and it's sister channels. I didn't even know about this, now I'm really glad I dropped them.

Well it's not a bad comic, but at least it's a comic. And its concept is weird enough to be interesting.

I unsubscribed from Channel Awesome after the "Change the Channel" controversies.
I unsubscribed from Brad Jones/The Cinema Snob's channel ("Stoned Gremlin Productions"?) after he started blaming Allison Pregler for getting swatted and claiming she intentionally disrupted his father-in-law's funeral.

And this ad is 1983 television in a nutshell. All it needs is Manimal somewhere. Or Mr. Smith. The problem with this is that they used Fonzie. Fonzie's time in the spotlight had come and gone by 1983. If they had used Cousin Roger then Just Our Luck might still be on the air today!

I noticed in the trailer monica bellucci’s character is missing her ring finger In the first movie, Beatlejuice pulls out a severed finger with a ring on it, who meant nonthing to him, nonthing at all!. hmmmm Obviously a total coincidence.

There's some leaked footage floating around. Not much, only about a minute and it doesn't seem to be plot sensitive, but it is bootleg so I won't embed or link to it. It's easy enough to find on YouTube.

I'm sure it'll be fine, but I am just so beyond not interested in seeing a Beetlejuice sequel more than 35 years later.

"The Disappeared" two-parter on the Netflix season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars used Jar-Jar Binks surprisingly effectively, with him coming off surprisingly competent and insightful towards the situation at hand, as well as toning down his obnoxiousness.

At some point during the production of Batman Beyond a story idea was floating around the writer's room for a "Terry and Dana go on a date" episode. It was supposed to be a relatively fun, light-hearted episode where Terry would constantly have to step away for a moment or two from his big date with Dana to do some Batman-ing, but in the end it would all work out and they'd have a happy ending. The problem was none of the writers could make it work. Finally one of the writers (I wanna say Alan Burnett but I could be completely wrong) decided to take a stab at it, wrote the script and turned it in, really proud of it, thinking he really nailed the idea. His version ended with a pissed off Dana breaking up with Terry and Terry somehow finding himself at Max' house, and the two of them making out. Bruce Timm read this and was horrified, and any plans to do the episode were completely dropped.
Over-all it's a relatively minor thing, but it would've completely changed a lot of the character dynamics on the show if Terry and Max had actually formed a romantic relationship, even if only briefly.

72. Journey to the Center of Time (1967) 73. Accepted (2006) 74. The Mummy (1932)So I've seen the 1999 Mummy movie more times then I can count, and last year I watched the 1959 Hammer remake for the first time, so when I saw the original Universal version on YouTube I figured I'd give it a go. Man was this disappointing. I hate to criticize what is nearly a one hundred year old classic, and the actors were acting their asses off in that old-timey stage honed actor type way, but there was no action to this, no excitement, no tension, no chemistry. It was just so so soooo borrrrrring. 75. Blades of Glory (2007)Honestly, really quiet day at work and I managed to slip a second YouTube movie in. Another movie I first watched during the pandemic and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Just a really funny stupid movie, featuring a hilarious cast that was just throwing everything they had out there.
