WB released the entire Challenge of the GoBots cartoon on dvd (albiet in MOD format, but it is out there). Interesting...why isn't it a problem here but it is with Scrabble? Hasbro seems to be looser with the GoBots since they didnt create it (nor did Tonka to be perfectly honest). That's why we got stuff like the Go-Bots series on dvd, as well as stuff like the Cy-Kill cosplayer in the Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas special.

Just hit the local thrifts and pawn shops. I got DVDs of Tucker and Dale vs Evil and a 4 pack of the first 3 karate kid films and the Jackie chan Kk film, and some classic rock cds (Boston's debut and Meat Loaf's Bat out of Hell, plus Bush's Sixteen Stone).

I am not sure if this was on an episode of Smackdown, but I remember watching Excess (remember that show? If you do, you have my respect) and it showed a clip of when Chris Jericho was making his entrance and mocked Christian's theme by singing "CHRISTIAN! CHRISTIAN!" I am not sure where to find that. After more than two decades, I wonder if I was imagining it, or if it was done on a different show. It was in 2001 and I believe it happened in late August or early September. Yes, this happened. I can't tell you which episode it was, but he did indeed sing the theme song, with the line "JACKASS OF THE YEAR!" at the end. That was actually the 9/13/01 Smackdown. Yep, THAT one.

About the GoBots... Would Wiegel (MeTV owners) have had to go through Hasbro to get the rights to show it? I know this is the problem with Buzzr and the 80s Scrabble game show (Fremantle owns the rights to the show, but has to get Hasbro to sign off on rerunning it because they are the current owners of the board game...) WB released the entire Challenge of the GoBots cartoon on dvd (albiet in MOD format, but it is out there).

If you're going to make Collision three hours you may as well make that into the A show and put Dynamite on Saturdays.

If they had just stuck with Bigelow, Sid, and Kama (and de-emphasize the whole money stuff and focus on making them credible monsters) it could have worked.

I didnt know there were Superman or any DC Comics cartoons pre-Superfriends until I rented a tape of Superboy cartoons as a kid, and then later got a videotape of the Fleischer Superman cartoon.

The ironic part is that the star of Just Our Luck, TK Carter, would end up working on a NBC show (Punky Brewster) only a year or so later.

I still watch Brad because his content genuinely interests me and is still at least funny. But dude seems like a bit of a wad IRL. The only Brad videos I watch now are his retrospectives of a certain year in film, those are pretty interesting.

If the endgame is Otis, Maxxine, and Tozawa joining Chase U like someone speculated, and they're able to stretch this to Survivor Series, you could have a pretty interesting War Games match with Otis, Tozawa, Andre Chase, Duke Hudson, Riley Osborne against Gable, the Creeds, and two others (cant think of anyone else who would fit at this time).

If you started watching in 2004, you'd never know John Cena had a great heel run the year before, they almost never even acknowledged it after he turned face.

And Mr. T was also used to trash CBS as well:

I think there was also a Knight Rider episode where the bad guys were an expy of the Dukes of Hazzard. Now all we need is a promo by JR Ewing threatening to buy Arnold's and the Eastland Academy so he can drill for oil under them.

And this ad is 1983 television in a nutshell. All it needs is Manimal somewhere. Or Mr. Smith. Ok, but how did NBC use Mr. T to trash ABC?

I was watching a retrospective on All in the Family and apparently one of the actors considered for Archie was Jackie Gleason of all people. I cant really see it, yeah, he played a grumpy guy in Ralph Kramden, but he was just too lovable to play Archie, at least not in the early years of the series.

I've been following the Hogan/Orndorff feud on the OVP podcast. One interesting thing that they did was have Orndorff come out to Hogan's theme song. I always thought they should do this with other feuding guys, I could see Drew "stealing" Cult of Personality from CM Punk, or Trent Baretta "stealing" Jane from Orange Cassidy. Of course, it would only work with cocky heels, cant see someone like Gunther doing that.
