At least we all understand ratings and viewership numbers better than Dana White: The funniest bit here is how from even just like the actual beginning claim of "We have 13 million followers" that's a total lie. The resti s deranged and fake and nonsense obviously but he's beginning from the claim where Powerslap doesn't have the sub-40,000 followers it has. It's insanity. This man's job is to lie about numbers.

I don't have anything good to add to ratings threads ever but YT recommended me something from Konnan's podcast that had the rating in the thumbnail in big bold letters and it was so dorky I hate wrestling lmao

Konan's entire channel is just click bait images dunking on AEW. Are these dudes really that desperate for clicks/views?

Given Konnan regularly DMs wrestling fans on Twitter to get them to check out his podcast - they are that desperate.

I feel this perverse want inside of me to have Konnan manifest in my DMs telling me to watch his show I have to know how awkward it is

Am a casual wrestling fan. Watch WWE and AEW about the same. My feedback
1) With two major shows, both get diluted and offer features talent I have never heard about or don't care about
2) Darby, MJF, Sammy, Max Caster and Britt are my favs and none of them have been on the show very much recently
3) When AEW brings over a new star from Japan, they don't really take the time to introduce them to a new audience.

3) When AEW brings over a new star from Japan, they don't really take the time to introduce them to a new audience. I have to call this one out in particular, every time AEW's brought over an international talent, they always get highlight packages and talked up in terms of who they are, what they've done, and what they're being brought in for or what their opponent is in for. They've consistently had the talents showcased both before and after they debut, and it's paid dividends for a lot of talent, just note how over Shibata was this week as an example.

I don't mean New Japan talent. Osprey's social media numbers are good The lowest views on their YouTube and TikTok channels are (in the last month): Toro Blanco, The Gunn Club, 'Bounty Hunter' Bryan Keith, Deonna Purrazzo, and Rocky Romero You're also just arguing with data. If they have a swatch of talent not drawing in any considerable metric, then the general public does not want to see them. You're free to look whoever you want, but its fairly clear, most of the general wrestling fanbase is not really interested in them currently

If they have a swatch of talent not drawing in any considerable metric, then the general public does not want to see them. You're free to look whoever you want, but its fairly clear, most of the general wrestling fanbase is not really interested in them currently You went from arguing that AEW doesn't do enough to hype up international talent, and when I responded that they in fact do, then you immediately swing the argument into analyzing Youtube metrics for non-international talents on the roster to say they aren't over and people don't care about them, so I don't really understand what you're going for here. I'm really not gonna go by Youtube and Tiktok data to judge how a wrestler is doing or if people actually care about them or not over a month, and if that's how you're going to judge them that's on you but it doesn't mean they can't or won't get over because their numbers might currently be lower, especially if you're just looking at current numbers from the last few shows, because if you're saying RUSH, Deonna, and The Bang Bang Gang aren't over, then you're also not watching the shows enough... they've been doing great but they're just coming back or getting into escalating programs to draw interest, and the live paying crowds live them too (Their ratings on cable when they've appeared also haven't been bad either). Do what you want as a casual viewer, but I simply do not agree with this mentality, or either argument you've tried to pose, and I don't think the data you're presenting is the end all be all of the product or the talent involved.

Yeah, I don't believe there is a conspiracy against AEW. It's just several people who've all independently discovered that criticising AEW gets more clicks than either praising AEW or criticising WWE does. I think there's also a bit of personal gripes from some of these guys as they were hoping AEW could have been a cushy job for them but it never happened.

Yeah I've always thought the conspiracy against AEW arguments were ridiculous. No matter who you are you're going to have haters, Doesn't mean there is an conspiracy against you.

But, f***ery is afoot There is no massive conspiracy undermining Dynamite's Nielsen ratings I agree: there is no massive conspiracy undermining Dynamite's Nielsen ratings. As someone who thought the Copeland vs. Suzuki episode of Dynamite was the worst Dynamite I've ever seen***, and somehow the ratings from last week are lower than that episode, I can only come to one conclusion as for this numbers decline: Dynamite, as it currently exists, is undermining Dynamite's Nielsen ratings. ***And I thought last year's Grand Slam episode of Dynamite was the best episode of Dynamite I've seen.

There was talk on some other forums recently of conspiracies at the highest level to discredit AEW online. About organized troll farms at the large new Stamford HQ. The mlw lawsuit actually confirmed a lot of these accusations.

Under 700k, huh? Have we started pulling the water fountains out of the building yet? Is Tony Khan offering to book wrestling shows for food? There was talk on some other forums recently of conspiracies at the highest level to discredit AEW online. About organized troll farms at the large new Stamford HQ. The mlw lawsuit actually confirmed a lot of these accusations. Come on, man. You can't just drop a claim like that and then not link to any evidence whatsoever.

I still don’t think these numbers are good per say, like there’s an issue that this show isn’t connecting like it used to and that’s cause for some concern.
Being all ‘doom and gloom bankruptcy is happening’ is jumping the gun though.

Being all ‘doom and gloom bankruptcy is happening’ is jumping the gun though. I can agree it's a concern and it's something that is likely still being figured out with the change of staff and different aspects of the company being shaken up but yes, trying to act like it's a gigantic downward slope is weird because, like...Shad's got a stupid amount of money. Nobody in that company is being paid that much to affect that. Heck, nobody in Jacksonville or Fulham are being paid that much to affect that. To the other point, people have realized bashing AEW likely both gets you hits but also gets you in WWE's good graces because you're focusing more attention on the good stuff on them to lose that connection. Would it surprise me if WWE themselves had something to do with that? They just settled a class action lawsuit being accused of antitrust policies and talent poaching so absolutely not. But I sort of need to see more of that before I make that conclusion for this stuff.
