Another distinction to make is that the questionable wins (playing devil's advocate here) by HHH and Hogan were at WrestleMania and SummerSlam, but the RVD win was over a jobber on free television. Santino has to be one of the greatest jobbers in history tho i dont consider him a jobber yet... he's still winning matches on Heat so they're probably building him up

The last time I checked it was pro-wrestling and win/loss records don't really matter that much.
They could put Santino main event next week in a tag match with Randy Orton vs. Triple H and Jeff Hardy and I'm pretty sure nobody would really "care" that he just took two or three losses in a row.
As far as I'm concerned as long as he stays entertaining on the microphone, he can job to the stars for all that I care. I'd much rather have him loose 9 out of 10 matches, but be on TV every week and ENTERTAIN us than see a the proverbial Black Hole of Charisma (TM) Bobby Lashley win week in and week out and get random title shots because of it.

It's almost like poker. Win/loss records don't mean much in poker because the fluky nature of tournaments with big fields and the fact that virtually none of the pros you see on TV could make a steady living without the huge sponsorship dollars. However, it's the names and the faces and the antics that draw the viewers. Same here. I don't care if Santino won the proverbial freeroll and became the greatest intercontinental "Champyown" of all time. IN fact, his low chance of winning a match makes him that much more endearing, because he thinks he's the greatest thing since sliced bread - his character believes his own hype, which is why when he gets squashed, it's so damn funny.

I've come to the conclusion that Santino is the smart wrestling fans wrestler. He constantly says what the smart wrestling fans say. WWE hates smart wrestling fans, I believe that to be one of the reasons that Santino is constantly made to look inferior and jobbed out. I don't really see no end in sight.

I never liked it when Austin did the same thing. They should be trying to build up their wrestlers, but when one of your top guys just goes around nailing their finisher randomly for no rhyme or reason, what good does that do? It certainly doesn't make the guys taking the finisher look good and it doesn't make the star any bigger especially if they are already massively over like Austin was. Triple H didn't need to Pedigree both London and Kendrick, just like Austin never needed to randomly stun D'lo Brown or Val Venis. Triple H could've done more by standing side-by-side with them as opposed to shrugging them off and lay them out. It's reasons like that for the crowds responding with apathy to just about everyone that comes out anymore. To each his own, I didn't mind and I liked it when they did those things. You're right, they didn't need to have him pedigree them, but it was fun to see though for some people. Marks you mean, who at the very sight of a Pedigree makes them go nuts?!

HHH pinning Booker was at Wrestlemania. The Biggest Show of the Year. Not a throw away show. The BIGGEST. And it ended with such a flat feeling that some people still have the bad taste of it in their mouths. RAW 15th anniversary isn't exactly a throwaway show, but I see your point (and I knew it'd have come up). I still maintain the ending of Triple H-Booker T wasn't remotely as ludicrous as many seem to think: it was a long match, HHH hit the Pedigree and CRAWLED to pin Booker. It took 15 seconds because both were exhausted [kayfabe] after a grueling match. That happens often in big matches. It's not like Triple H pedigreed Booker, then posed in the middle of the ring, and then went for the cover. But anyway... I know Santino won't suffer much from the loss, basically because all he does is getting his ass kicked, so it's not a big deal. I just wish some could try to see things without letting personal preferences get in their way. A lame finish is a lame finish, be it involving your favourite wrestler or a man you dislike.

Still, if this was Triple H, we wouldn't hear the end of it for WEEKS. Not really fair, is it? Has RVD ever intentionally buried anyone? Not that I can recall. It's not the same thing (not even in the same ballpark), and I doubt RVD had that much say in the match anyway. How do we know it was even intentional? I may not have liked some of Trips feuds from that time, but apart from newz sites how are we so certain that he did that?

Don't get me wrong i'm not completely against the beating, just why make it a match.
If he'd have just booted him then splashed him then celebrated and left that would be a lot less hurtful than him actually pinning him after his celebrations.
For example if the hogan khali thing was a match and he'd pinned khali it would be the most ridiculous thing ever, and i feel the same (allthough they're obviously different situations) applies here.
