Hell in the Cell for me, though I didn't read the whole thread, and it may've been said.
I actually never got to see the Foley/HHH one, but it seems that they're trying to recreate what happened in the Taker/HBK and the Taker/Mankind matches, and it's never going to be the same. The first Hell in a Cell was an epic match between two amazing talents, and the second, while not as good technical, will be remembered as one of the most brutal ever, and is one of my favourite matches. But they can never top how good those two were, and I heard that the Foley/HHH one was good too. Not that other Hell in a Cell matches can't be good, but they can never top the first few.

I hate all gimmick matches that are just thrown in there *cough*TNA*cough*. I mean, I thought gimmick matches were set up to end feuds in appropriate ways. Examples: If a heel keeps getting himself counted out or disqualified, make it falls count anywhere If a heel keeps running away, make a lumberjack or cage match (without the escape option) If you have two guys who are going to beat the hell out of each other or anyone else that gets in their way, make it Hell in the Cell. But don't just randomly have ladder or cage matches simply because another regular match would be boring.

Has anyone ever even had a Coal Miner's glove match? I've never seen or heard of a specific one, but it's been on the Roulette Wheel.

Isn't the glove itself kind of like a gauntlet?

Monsters Ball. you wanna talk conveluted. the fact that when they first started to have em the one gimmick was that "THEY COULDN'T EAT FOR 24 HOURS" So smurfin dumb I actually didn't eat for 30 hours, and it didn't made me suicidal. Oh yeah, Punjabi Prison match.

How has no-one said blind fold matches yet? It's absolutely impossible to have a good one.

For the record, I agree; 2/3 falls matches are MUCH better than Iron Man matches. I disagree. I can't stand 2/3 falls matches most of the time now. Especially after the Briscoes and ROH killed the "2 straight falls" finish. Most of these gimmick matches would be better if they didn't bury it to the ground. Example is the TLC matches. After the 2nd one, it just got stale. Same thing with Ladder and Table matches. Another gimmick match I hate is "heel manager/valet handcuffed to the good guy's buddy." It always ends the same "Heel gives other heel a foreign object and heel wins". And no I quit match can ever top Tully/Magnum from the 80's.

Well when I mentioned I Quit matches, another one came to mind (and I realize it was a submission match, not I Quit): the Bret Hart-Bob Backlund one from WM XI. Just the sight of Roddy Piper walking around and asking after every move "What ya say?!!" was comical and took away from the decent match they had.
Now, did Ken Shamrock ask Bret or Austin every 3 seconds? No.
I still think I Quit/submission matches are worthless.

Exactly, a gimmick match is supposed to signal the END of a feud, but look how many daft gimmick matches Sting & Abyss were booked in earlier this year (Prison Yard, Last Rites, Doomsday Chamber of Blood ). Both men grafted, to be sure, but the fact is that daft, convoluted stips diluted their feud (for once, I hope Russo IS reading the board!). If you're just throwing out stipulations because you can, then you're diluting the importance of special stipulation matches. Any match at TNA's LockDown PPV with an additional stipulation sets my eyes a-rollin' too. X-Scape & Lethal LockDown I can handle, but when you're adding table, blindfold & other such stipulations to the "Six Sides of Steel" it's really gimmick overkill.

I hate that match. Seriously, it needs to go. Sure, it can be a spectacle when done right, but this isn't Double Dare, this isn't Fear Factor, it's wrestling. There's no place for it. Because that's what it says on the marquee, that's the name of the game: Wrestling. What's that? TNA doesn't include the word "wreslting"? Well, s***.....

I'm going to have to go with the Inferno match. All it does it add extra danger, both for the wrestlers and the fans.
