I do not use this term often but AJ Styles is being friggin buried. I don't care if he wins matches fact is thursday night was another example how you can COMPLETELY kill crediblity. After Styles gave the fans more single handedly than the hole show combined, they proceeded to humiliate him AGAIN. Are they trying to build sympathy for Styles?? Let me tell you something, SYMPATHY is not something you build a career on, this is absolutely attrocious the referees, Kurt Angle, announcers all made sure we understood how bad AJ Styles is. All the whining and defiance in the end he was still wearing the suit getting no payback(once again) at all. Hell, it worked so well on TNA's part that the crowd was booing their "hottest rising star" Kaz because people knew that Styles was getting the short end of the stick! We don't need to see another promising young career go down the drain, we've had enough of those in wrestling recently.

I disagree, as AJ Styles character is not meant to be taken seriously as he once was a year or two ago.

As much as I dislike this whole costume thing that is going on, as was said before, Styles isn't meant to be taken seriously. He had established himself as a major star within TNA already, and is just going through his Goofy AJ stage with Kurt Angle for now. I love his new demeanor.

Why should i watch something that i don't take seriously? Why should anyone? Some people don't watch wrestling for bad comedy.

Sympathy isn't something you build a career on? Isn't this the same company that has a catchphrase, "Don't fire Eric!"?

I dont understand why they would do this stupid gimmick on Thanksgiving, and again on Christmas with the same person. Just watch the old Samoa Joe vs AJ Styles match in 2005 and watch him wearing turkey suits now. It just doesnt make much sense, unless you consider Vince Russo and Dutch Mantel are pathetic jokes when it comes to writing.
Oh where oh where is a savior to save TNA from Russo and Mantel. The comedy has just become aweful and overtaken the wrestling completely. Just two, three weeks ago I wouldnt have said that.

Eric was hot about two months, it's starting to wear off. Besides there are alot of people who didn't appreciate that from the beginning.

I guess they think it sells, people are fed up with this childlish nonsense.

Oh yeah, I'm not defending TNA on this. I'm just pointing out that they do try to build careers on sympathy.
They need a new writing team IMO, they have so much freaking talent in their workers but it's like it goes to waste.

Lance Storm has said it week after week, they have the BEST talent pool in all of wrestling but a show that doesn't make any sense.

Why should i watch something that i don't take seriously? Why should anyone? Some people don't watch wrestling for bad comedy. I don't know, but seeing as the matches are predetermined, and some of the angles over the years have been out there, I don't think it's something that should be meant to be taken seriously. Just entertainment, it's not like it's real competition or anything.

If they just had him give indications that he was getting tired of it, to the point that eventually he'll just go off and kick Christian or Angle or someone's ass, I'd enjoy it alot better.

Why should i watch something that i don't take seriously? Why should anyone? Some people don't watch wrestling for bad comedy. Just curious here. Not trying to be a dick. This is a serious question. Do you like Undertaker? Do you take it seriously that he can command lightning and fire and actually controls the lighting in the arena? Jed Shaffer ~One look at the website this forum is attached to should show you that even those IN the business don't take it seriously.

Wrestling was hell of a lot better even though people knew the same thing in the 80's and 90's, it's supposed to be entertaining and BAD COMEDY IS NOT ENTERTAINING.

That's cute, do you like to watch cartoons? I bet you do because hey you don't have to take them seriously right? Oh but there is a problem, THEY SUCK. When i watch wrestling it's supposed to be entertaining, watching a man dress as a reindeer is NOT entertaining neither is the Undertaker. It's like Cornette said, it's scripted but you don't have to shove it in people's face. Respect your damn audience.

I'm not pissed, just saying. The funny sarcasm responses are the ones that might make me boil a bit. If they want to put AJ in a turkey/reindeer suit whatever, it should be beneficial in some way. If people don't take it seriosly (and i dont friggin mean kayfabe seriously) they atleast want it to be over right? It's not, AJ styles as a reindeer man is not over so what's the point? You put a reindeer suit on someone like Shark boy let Abyss squash him yeah that might be funny, that's good but why the hell you wanna put your former champion into these charades.

You act like this is a new trend. Bobby Heenan used to do matches like these involving a weasel suit.

AJ in a turkey/reindeer suit isn't meant to be the top storyline in TNA or anything. He's playing the role of the goofy sidekick right now, so him being in these situations makes sense with his character. I don't think he's nearly as upset about it as you are honestly.
