Janet... I promise to intentionaly make you have one easy match if I ever do this again. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This may be an easy one. Kylie Minogue - LocomotionIn the United Kingdom the song was released on July 25, 1988 and debuted at number two on the singles chart — the highest entry on the UK singles charts by a female artist — due to strong 7" single sales and radio airplay. It remained in the number two position for four weeks before falling to number three. The song became Minogue's third top five single in the UK and remains one of her most successful single releases to date. In late 1988, Minogue travelled to the United States to promote "The Loco-Motion" she did many interviews and performances on American television. "The Loco-Motion" debuted at number eighty on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and later climbed to number three for two weeks. The song was Minogue's second single to chart in the U.S., but her first to reach the top ten. It remains her biggest hit in the United States. She would not even reach the top ten again until 2002 with the release of "Can't Get You Out Of My Head", which reached number seven on the chart. In Canada, the song reached number one. In Australia, the song was released on July 27, 1987 and was a huge hit reaching number one on the AMR singles chart, remaining there for seven weeks. The song set the record as the biggest Australian single of the decade. Throughout Europe and Asia the song also performed well on the music charts, reaching number one in Belgium, Finland, Ireland, Israel, Japan, and South Africa. The flip-side "I'll Still Be Loving You" is a popular song, and one of the few not released as a single from her huge selling debut album "Kylie". Vs. Huey Lewis & The News - Power of Love"The Power of Love" is the title of a 1985 single by Huey Lewis & the News written for and featured in the film Back to the Future. It gave the band their first number-one hit on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and later appeared on UK editions of the band's fourth studio album, Fore!. The song was nominated for an Academy Award at the 58th Academy Awards. The song appears early in Back to the Future as Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) skates to school, then when he and his band played the song for a Battle of the Bands auditions (which Lewis, himself, is judging), and later when Marty returns to his neighborhood. In the sequel, Back to the Future Part II, the 2015 version of Marty barely plays the song on his guitar just after being fired. Finally, it can be briefly heard playing on a car radio near the end of Back to the Future Part III. The music video, featured in the bonus features of the Back to the Future Part II disc, shows the band playing in a nightclub, with Dr. Emmett Brown showing up in the DeLorean, apparently after time-travelling, and a couple stealing it for a joy ride. The track has recently been covered by UK guitar indie band The Pigeon Detectives. The cover has been included on the BBC Radio One compilation CD 'Radio 1, Est. 1967.' It was also covered by Drive-Through Records band The Early November on the 2005 compilation, Punk Goes 80's. The popular Canadian teen drama Degrassi: The Next Generation, which is known for naming each episode after an '80s hit song, named an episode after this song.

HDX, still visably shaken from you guys screwing over his favorite artist, helps Huey win. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Murray Head... Bangkok.... Virgin.... the possibilities here are limitless... Murray Head - One Night In Bangkok"One Night in Bangkok" is a song originally released in 1984 by Murray Head, and later remixed for release by Vinylshakerz in 2005. The original version was one of the main tracks in the 1984 concept album for the musical Chess, and was written by former ABBA members Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson, with lyrics by Tim Rice. The release was a million-selling smash across the globe, topping the charts in many countries, including West Germany, Switzerland and Australia. A dance version of the song was recorded by Robey in 1984, which peaked at #5 on the US Billboard Dance Chart later that year. However, Head's version went on to become one of the biggest sellers of 1985 in the United States, where it peaked at #3 in May of that year. In the context of its worldwide popularity, the song was a relatively minor hit in Murray Head's native UK, where it peaked at #12. The song is mainly a pop song, although at the time could have also been classed as belonging to the dance music genre. The choruses (variations on of the phrase "One night in Bangkok...") were sung by Swedish artist Anders Glenmark. The verses could be described as a spoken rap by Head, a sarcastic, tongue-in-cheek decrying of the city's moral corruption and glorifying the intellectual purity of chess (e.g.,,"the queens we use would not excite you"). Vs. Madonna - Like A VirginNile Rodgers was chosen by Madonna as the producer of the album, mostly due to his work with David Bowie on his album Let's Dance. Like a Virgin built on the sound and image that Madonna had created in her debut album, which was very much disco and pop-oriented. Madonna dedicated the album to "all the virgins of the world". The albums title track, "Like a Virgin" was her first number one hit song. Madonna debuted the song at the first annual MTV Video Music Awards. In this performance, Madonna rolled on the floor in a white wedding dress, exposing her panties and garter belt, all the while wearing a belt that read "Boy Toy". The album's second single, "Material Girl", earned Madonna her nickname of "Material Girl" from the media. Originally, "Into the Groove" was not included on the album. The song was an early recording slated to appear on her debut album, but was dropped at the last minute. It later resurfaced in Madonna's 1985 film, Desperately Seeking Susan and became a worldwide hit. Subsequently, Warner Bros. Records included it on Virgin's European tracklisting. The album was a huge success on the charts, but the critics were not really convinced of Madonna's skills and described her as an "unimportant annoying one-hit-wonder" with a voice similar to "Minnie Mouse on helium". The award shows largely snubbed Like a Virgin; although she did receive a few nominations at the 1985 MTV Video Music Awards, she lost each of them. The photography for the sleeve was shot by Steven Meisel who would become a regular collaborator. In 1992 he shot all the photographs for the infamous book SEX. She later performed "Material Girl", "Angel", "Like a Virgin", and "Dress You Up" on her 1985 Virgin Tour, and on subsequent tours.
