Rest In Piece. I will miss you, Heath. Can't wait for Batman, so I can see what he could REALLY do.

Brilliant actor, especially in some Casanova and Candy. Dark Knight won't be as much fun now. Such a sad shame about the two year old daughter.

It's shame a young man, regardless of fame, has died. I can imagine it will be especially hard for the daughter.
Life goes on though. I can probably surmise that a lot worse went on in the world yesterday.

Apparently some tabloid photographer took a snap of the body at the crime scene. Reminds me, unfortunately, of when a photographer broke into the morgue and take shots of River Phoenix's corpse. It's also like the time when Chris Farley died and the drug dealer that was with him at the time, a lady, took pictures of him as he was dying from seizers induced by drug overdose. History repeats itself, it goes back to james dean in the 50's, to river phoenix in the 80's/early 90's to now with heath. Infact, I'll even say that history repeats itself everywhere. RRA, you made a comment about how river and depp would be fighting to see who the best actor in hollywood was if river was still alive, I agree. I believe that because of river's death, leo dicaprio was able to capitalize into his career he has now, of-coarse it helps that he has allot of talent but I think what helped is that he got 1st choice of roles that otherwise would have went to river. Leo would've been the skeet ulrich to river phoenix's johnny depp if you catch my drift.

I just heard about this like fourteen seconds ago. I thought Heath a solid actor. So young too. I heard something about sleeping pills. Was it an overdose? I just know my initial reaction was kind of a baffled one. When someone says to you "did you hear ________ died, " you don't expect the name Heath Ledger to crop up. My condolensces to those directly affected by this.

That's just beyond strange

That's what I was trying to say, anyways. No joke, just some disbelief.

Did I really just read that bible groups are going to protest at his funeral for "promoting homosexuality"? Jesus H, some people are so backwards...

I had the misfortune of seeing Tupacs autopsy pic....I couldn't even look at it for 5 secs , pretty disgusting (are they even allowed putting such pics up , even celebs have to have some privacy ?)
Even the Bruce Lee autopsy pic made me cry....looked like his neck had been broken , prolly a seizure he had when he passed.....

really sucks. I think he was about to breakout and be one of the biggerst stars in Hollywood. But to be cut down like this and for the obvious reasons. Congress has a hard on for probing pro. wrestling. Maybe they should also turn their heads to Hollywood. Two 20 something actors in a span of a month and several running loose like idiots who are bound to suffer the same fate. It's only a matter of time. Plus several music stars on the Signature List.

No, didn't mean you, it's just when something like this happens, they use that term, of course its more disbelief than anything, but its unsettling how they say "I thought they were joking with me"

Hopefully that is not right especially not at a funeral it doesnt matter who the person is nobodys family should have to put up with idiot protesters (of any sort) on what will already be a hard and heartbreaking day for them

I guess soldier's funerals wasn't enough for them.

This is terrible. He was only 28, worked his butt off, and was highly respected by his peers. Plus, he had a 2 year old girl, and a great wife.
RIP.
And since I'm sure that WB will be showing The Dark Knight, the film should be dedicated to him in the opening or end credits (at least)

I guess soldier's funerals wasn't enough for them. it wouldn't be the first time they protested someone other than a soldier, in '98 they protest at Matthew Shepards funeral (a 21 year old homosexual who was murdered for being true to himself), and if they feel that his part in Brokeback Mountain promoted homosexuality they'll be there

They did Minnesota after the bridge collapse there too, they'll do anything to get their name in the news. Not to mention anything that might get a couple of bucks thrown their way, after they got hit with that lawsuit by the parents of a dead soldier whose funeral they interrupted.

That came out the same year as the Challenger tragedy, and that picture had a quick but tasteful dedication to them. Which I think is the appropriate thing to do for THE DARK KNIGHT. Get that monkey off the back immediately.
