I think Carter's past drug problems while in Philly cost him. Same thing happened with Irvin. Is anyone from Philly in the HoF? I honestly don't know...

I think Carter's past drug problems while in Philly cost him. Same thing happened with Irvin. Is anyone from Philly in the HoF? I honestly don't know... Chuck Bednarik and Reggie White to name two. I'm sure there are more that I can't think of right now. I think everyone who got in deserved to get in. Carter should've gotten in, the credentials speak for themselves. I'd list them but there are far too many. As for next year, Sharpe, Smith and Woodson all seem like no-brainers. Larry Centers is an interesting guy because, as a FB, he definitely has the numbers. The guy was insanely good as a pass-catching threat from out of the backfield, but that just won't be enough. The last FB that I can think of to get into the HOF is Csonka, so it doesn't look good for Centers.

So how many people can get in one year? At least 4, at most 7. Which means....Chris Carter could have gotten in this year, along with the other 5. So why did he NOT get the votes? Peter Fatass King Dr. Z(hit) better have a good explanation very soon....

The NFL HOF voters should all be shot and pissed on. Chris Carter didn't get in? Are you kidding me? How does Art Monk get in, and Chris Carter does not. Absolutely ridiculous. As if the voters live perfect lives. So Carter had a drug problem when he first broke in. He cleaned up after he joined the Vikes. So stupid.
And how does Tagliabue not get in? He did so much for the NFL. Including the combined 3.1 BILLION dollar TV contracts he has. Anyone who didn't vote him in, especially in their reason was because he did limited interviews, should lose their voting powers.

Because Art Monk was on a team that won 3 Super Bowls and the closest Cris Carter got was blowing the NFC championship game at home in 1999. The NFL hof seems to reward players on teams that win frequently over those who do not in despite their individual acomplishments.
