All the games you listed aside from DMC4 and Lost Odyssey are North American made games, of course they would be region free. Naturally. I hope I learn to think before posting at some point. There were some other Japanese games that had no or limited region protection as well, though, but not many of them... probably because most major 360 titles are North American. However, I'd like to thank Sony for preventing online retailers such as Play-Asia from shipping REGION FREE PS3 GAMES to European countries.

Dude, Koda, no. Snce the fall that has turned around. Call of Duty 4 is equal on both systems, DMC4 is slighty better on PS3, and Burnout Paradise is a tad bit better still, mostly because its online component is better than 360's amazingly enough.
But TC, here is the thing. What games do you like? Like Metal gear? Final Fantasy? Twisted Metal? A fan of Japanese style games in general? Or Sony's first/second party games last gen? Go PS3. Like American made games and EA games? Go 360.
Mircosoft has lost damn near their entire stable of exclusive developers though. And when their contracts(1 or 2 games each) are done most are going mulitplatform.

......DMC4 is slighty better on PS3...... This is a legit question, not trying to start anything: I heard that DMC 4 takes like an eternity to load on the PS3. Even Penny Arcade had a strip on it. Is this true?

Is this true? It does an install to the HDD. Reports say half an hour, any one who times it says 15. It eliminates load time pretty much completely. The only reason people are ticked is because it is mandatory, not optional.

What no one does mention is that it isn't the first game to do this, nor the worst. Spider-man 3 takes over 30 minutes, and it isn't a complete install, and there is still loading time. To add to it, it isn't even a good game.

Ehh, yeah, that being an optional thing would be nice. Thanks for clearing it up for me. That's probably why they don't mention it man, being that it's Spider-Man 3, not as many people are going to buy it as DMC4.

I guess what it came down to is that the game couldn't be fully optimized unless it was one or the other or some nonsense. Something to do with the fact that as much as Sony and MS want the new consoles to be PCs, they aren't.

I know, I like Spider-Man 2... and I got Spider-Man 3... and I actually kind of like it. It just still shocks me. I wish they would take that formula (free roaming in NY), make the area even bigger (more sections of the city open) and REALLY, REALLY take some time with it. Make it bustle with people and traffic. Make the city come to life.

That's crazy! Dude, Spider-man can sell to damn near every one. Kids, older folks. DMC has a more limited fan base. I bet if you checked the numbers of Spider-man 3 vs DMC 3, Spidey 3 runs away with it. And that is just for PS2

I've got both a PS3 and a Wii.
I take PS3 over a 360. I've played the 360, I just can't get into it. I'm convinced the main reason more people have 360 is because it was a hell of a lot cheaper for so long. In the past year, a lot more people I know have gotten PS3s though.

Or I buy the 360 because it has more of what I want, I like the controllers better, I actually prefered my Xbox over my PS2, I like to support American products. The fact it's cheaper is only a nice bonus for me. Though when PS3 comes down a little bit more I'll buy it, but the only games I want that I can't get other wise is Metal Gear and Twisted Metal.

For some reason, I' ve got a feeling that 2008 will be the year of the PS3. Well, it can' t get any worse, so... Same here. I was looking that the PS3 games coming out this year and they have quite the line up, in my opinion it's superior to 360's this year (well, from what we've been told so far). But that probably betrays my gaming tastes. It's a tough decision, the PS3 is cheaper (if you plan on going online or hooking it up for HD that is), but it doesn't have the game library Microsoft amassed from getting out one year early. However as it was also noted Microsoft exclusivity is going down the drain. Sony made a ton of mistakes, though Microsoft made some really terrible mistakes where it counted. And I hate to say it, but I now think PS3 will beat 360 in worldwide sales. So you can expect some good PS3 games in the future. But overall it depends on what you intend to do with the system and what games you like. That and how much you are willing to dish out.
