It depends.
I ponied up for a PS3 when the price dropped and am quite happy. The online play is absolutely free and really isn't that much further behind the 360, especially when Home hits (and I'm not crying over not having achievements, they're about useless). The shenanigans about things running better on the 360 than the PS3 is busted now that people are familiar with both and aren't doing lazy ports from the 360 to the PS3 (except for EA, and if you're buying one of their games to begin with.....). Exclusive are where you'll likely need to make up your mind. I like MGS, FF, Ratchet and Clank and a lot of Sony's exclusives so the choice was obvious for me (especially since I don't like FPS or racers/sports games, making 360's massive library.....not so massive).
The Blu-Ray's actually a really nice addition and is basically guaranteed to win at this point, and you'll get 5 free movies (actually good ones, too).
The cost may be more, but you'll get more straight out of the box than you would for the 360. It all depends on what you want to play and whose name is inked exclusively to it, to be honest.

This is a trick question. Instead, get the money and buy two more Wiis. Why? License to print money!

Okay, here's my opinion of the matter:
With the PS3 you get free online, you don't have to buy a seperate wireless adapter(I think), the wireless controller is rechargable right out the box, and you get a blu ray player.
But with the 360 you get a better online service, more downloadable contents, a bigger library of games(for now) and it costs less.
Personally, I plan on buying a PS3 soon when my tax refun hits(A Wii is out of the question since I've been having rotten luck finding one.) because it seems like a pretty good console.
