Heres my list
#1 Batman (89) #2 Batman Begins #3 Batman Returns #4 Batman: Mask of the Phantasm #5 Batman (66) #6 Batman Forever #7 Batman & Robin
Although i don't even really count Batman & Robin as a Batman film and I'm sure that as soon as July 18 comes around, I'm going to have a new #1.

Batman Begins wasn't that great. There were too many fast cuts, Scarecrow was underdeveloped, and it seemed rushed towards the end. Overall I think Batman (1989) was a better movie.

I actually agree with you on this. But, for me at least, I think that The '89 film just..I dunno (I f***ing loved it, don't get me wrong) but comparing the two, I think that Begins just seems to be grettier and more..real. Which is what I want. Which is strange considering it's basically a comic book movie I know. Also..I forgot about Sub Zero! I've never seen it..but even still I can say it gets ahead of Batman & Robin by several places.

Yep, overweight Jack Nicholson dancing around an art gallery to Prince music... That's what homicidal maniacs do, right? The reason Scarecrow was "underdeveloped" was because the movie was about *gasp* Batman rather than his villains for a change. The only other Batman movie to do this was Mask of the Phantasm. 1. Batman: Mask of the Phantasm 2. Batman Begins 3. Batman (1989) 4. Batman Returns 5. Batman Forever 6. Batman (1966) 7. The scene in Ghost World where Thora Birch wears a Batman-like mask 8. Any other mild cinematic references to Batman Not ranked: Batman & Robin: The Bat-franchise actually DIED during this film at the moment Schwarzenegger spoke the words "Yaw not sending me to da coolah!" ... Begins did a respectable job of trying to re-establish the good things about Batman.

Given the ranking that everyone seems to giving these films, I'd urge a moratorium on screen depictions of Robin. The gay jokes just seem to come too easy.

Would have still sucked, but at least it's better than O'Donnell, not that he wasn't decent...he did his best, but with his age he should have been Nightwing.

I actually Like Animated series Robin though (Grayson & Drake) He was well written & well Voiced Animated series had Dini and Timm, who were almost perfect in their visualization and characterization of Batman characters. I can't see most live action movies including Robin except as a cheap excuse for gay jokes (like Batman and Robin did).

Robin could be well done in the films As long as they make him young & avoid the "Gay" subtext

One of those ones where you feel embarrassed for the guy telling it because he still has the outmoded idea that a guy being gay is incredibly wrong & that he's hilarious for making fun of them combined with numerous references to the Village People.

BTW, the whole "gay Batman" thing wasn't in the original idea for the character. It was thought up by a 1950s psychologist (the same one who thought Superman was "a Nazi recruiting tool") as a way to defame the character. He was to comic books what Jack Thompson is to videogames.
