Batman Begins wasn't that great. There were too many fast cuts, Scarecrow was underdeveloped, and it seemed rushed towards the end. Overall I think Batman (1989) was a better movie. Yep, overweight Jack Nicholson dancing around an art gallery to Prince music... That's what homicidal maniacs do, right? The reason Scarecrow was "underdeveloped" was because the movie was about *gasp* Batman rather than his villains for a change. The only other Batman movie to do this was Mask of the Phantasm. I loved Mask of the Phantasm. I wouldn't even say that movie had a main villian, because it was deeper than that.

Given the ranking that everyone seems to giving these films, I'd urge a moratorium on screen depictions of Robin. The gay jokes just seem to come too easy. I actually Like Animated series Robin though (Grayson & Drake) He was well written & well Voiced And they got some great work out of the darker side of the Robin character in BB: ROTJ.

I actually think Robin should get his own movie. You could avoid some of the gay overtones people might unnecesarily read into. It doesn't have to be a big budget and with super heroes being pretty in demand right now they should strike while the iron is hot. I'm talking a Tim Drake movie. You'd need an Alfred, a Comissioner Gordon, and either a quick Batman cameo or just a few references. It'd be easy to base a film on any of the original 1991 Tim Drake Mini-series', Robin (origin and training), Robin: The Joker's Wild (difficult because you'd need a Joker), or Robin: Cry of the Huntress (probably the best choice).

By what I've seen?
1) Batman: Mask of the Phantasm 2) Batman Begins 3) Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker 4) Subzero 5) Batman (1966) 6) Batman Forever 7) Batman (1989) 8) Batman & Robin 9) Batman Returns
I have B&R above Returns because it's the easier film to mock.

Heres my list #1 Batman (89) #2 Batman Begins #3 Batman Returns #4 Batman: Mask of the Phantasm #5 Batman (66) #6 Batman Forever #7 Batman & Robin Although i don't even really count Batman & Robin as a Batman film and I'm sure that as soon as July 18 comes around, I'm going to have a new #1. First post totally reflects my feelings, except I do not think the 89 version will be slipping off the top for me.

Based on what I've seen so far:
1. Batman Returns 2. Batman Begins 3. Batman '89 4. Batman Forever (though I have to admit that I was stoked to watch the movie when it came out; that, and me being hooked to U2's song) 5. Batman & Robin (to me, it's more of a comedy film than a Batman film)
