I loved this episode. The truth is, Bart is still ten and Homer is in his thirties. They have no option but to reboot the past once in a while, and this provides great opportunities to make episodes like "That 90s Show." As for continuity, it still ended in the miniature golf course windmill for the true fans. Except of course Homer and Marge's first time wasn't in the windmill, it was in what I assume is the 18th hole, where the "Free Game" castle is. The writer's confused this where Homer was working at the time (the windmill) and now we're stuck with the history of their first time and Marge becoming pregnant in a windmill. Yep, they "joined the castle club".

"Itchy and Scratchy #1325,Itchy plays Scratchy's skeleton like a xylophone; strikes the same rib twice but clearly 2 different notes sound. are we to believe that this is some sort of magic xylophone?"

Truth is that every Simpsons episode takes place in it's own continuity.

Futurama Watch Benders Big Score. Also Fox was advertising last nights episode as a different time line or some crap, so I guess thats the writers excuse? I didn't laugh once at Bender's Big Score

I'd mark if they had some episode where all the alternate Simpsons timelines meet up with each other, and of course, hilarity may or may not ensue.

Well you could count the couch gag where the Simpsons meet their Earth-TraceyUllman selves and both families freak out or remember that one Halloween episode where Homer had that cloning hammock and one of his clones looked like his old self.
