All I have to say is Ted Lily, sigh. Another bad start and this time the bullpen or offense cant' do anything. Hope to avoid the sweep tomarrow. I wanted you guys to win today! True my motives are greedy, I needed Philly to lose, but I still wanted you to win!

I got a raging Papelboner after tonight's game. Warmed up on three separate occasions, made quick work of A-Rod, and still came out for a 1-2-3 ninth. Dominating stuff.

Man... todays game was a ballbuster. Why Joey G didn't tell mose to intentionally walk Manny is beyond me. I mean, all you need is one more out and even if you make the bases loaded upon the IBB why pitch to a guy you just gave up a moonshot to a few innings prior? If anything bring in Bruney or Otto to get out of the jam. Ah well, no use crying over spilled milk. Just gotta hope Phil has a good outing and judging by his performance against the Royals on tuesday, im worried.

That's because you're offense was going against the best pitcher in the NL, Cole Hamels. So far this year he's 2-1 with a 0.82 ERA. A 0.82 ERA!!The one loss was a 1-0 defeat. Johan who? Maybe colehamelsfacts.com is right, Hamels will win 1 Cy Young and 11 Cole Hamels! On a bad note, Shane Victorino was put on the 15 day DL with a right calf strain.

After Friday night's disaster involving the Detroit bullpen pitching to all but 2 batters in Dontrelle Willis' horsecrap start and still winning, White Sox back on track with a 7-0 victory over the hated Tigers. Game was actually closer than it looked. Was 1-0 going into the bottom of the 8th before the Sox stormed back with 6 runs. Gavin Floyd wasn't overpowering, but had a no-hitter in 7 1/3 innings. (Chris Ronge, filling in for Ed Farmer who's away on family leave, actually said the words "no-hitter"...then Detroit got a base hit.) The White Sox big boppers aren't doing that great, but the lead-off position isn't as bad a weakness as we once thought.. Swisher & Quinlan are getting on base frequently. By the way, Buerhle's start for tonight was pushed back to Monday against Oakland. (Javy Vazquez pitches today in his place.) Sox are quick to point out "But he's not hurt." Makes me wonder when they jump out with that comment.

So is there a medical disease called "Torii Hunter Disease"?
If so, it must involve the medical condition of inserting your foot into your mouth. It seems that guy is ALWAYS saying something incredibly stupid.
The most recent comment (on Yahoo's page right now) is that Hunter said that Jackie Robinson day has lost all meaning, especially when the Houston Astros, who have no black players, ALL wore 42. God forbid! Why is it that only blacks can honor a person? Nope, Astros must be a racist team owned by racist team owners...
Come on, Torii, work more on not striking out so often, then you'll be too tired to talk. You win, the fans win, EVERYBODY wins.

If it was Joe Morgan, a former Astro, he'd be complaining about why they didn't retire his number league-wide instead of Jackie's. After all, listen to Joe Morgan talk for 5 minutes and you'd get the impression nobody was better than him. I think retiring Jackie's number league-wide is ridiculous. There were a lot of players who wore the 42 in honor of Jackie. Just because Dave Henderson wasn't in the same class as Robinson doesn't mean you take the number away. And, at the current rate, the Yankees will start using decimals or triple-digits by the year 2100. Have a "Level Of Excellence" like the Blue Jays, and keep the numbers in circulation.

3-2 Mets in the third.
Glavine exits start in the first with an apparent back or hip injury.

Mets have a 6-2 lead and then blow it the next inning.
6-6 tie. Unreal.

Runners on First and Third with none out and you manage to not get any runs? After you manage to load the bases after another double play? Like I said painful.

Um...if you score 7 runs, the problem isn't offense. Just saying.
And thanks to Trash Gordon, we're in extra innings. I'm not liking this win 2, lose 2, win 2, lose 2. Cause we've already won 2.
